This is a bright, airy, comfortable room with air conditioning and a thermostat to control your heat in the winter. A queen bed, TV with DVD/VHS player (no cable reception), comfortable couch, private bathroom with shower, table for work or games! Books, videos, games!
This room is one of two in my home, the other is "Comfy & Cozy"
The bedroom is at the back of the house and has fabulous cross ventilation and a private bathroom.
You can enjoy sitting on the front porch with a view of the Big Eddy and the Narrowsburg Bridge over the Delaware River, or have more privacy in the backyard. Narrowsburg is the Eagle Capital of NYS and can often be seen overhead. The voices of many birds can be heard from the porch. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area - deer often walk through the backyard, while you are sitting there!
We are just 2 hours from the GW Bridge.
REVIEW FROM AN ARCHITECT WHO LIVED IN THIS ROOM:
Entering Jill’s room for rent is like stepping into another world. It is so peaceful and serene with a classic Old World feel. The high ceilings, large windows, and beautiful woodworking welcome you warmly. Jill has considered every detail - her choices of furniture, colors selected and textures of all the elements work in wonderful harmony. I especially enjoy the soft morning light that gently awakens you (though the full-height curtains can be used if you wish to sleep in). Coupled with a private attached bathroom, it’s a space that when entered is hard to leave!
The entire house has the same warm, welcoming feeling and when you meet Jill, it’s obvious as to where it all originates. The house is just outside the main section of town with only short, pleasant walks to restaurants, art galleries, antique shops, clothing and gift shops, grocery stores, library, a local historic site (Fort Delaware), and of course the beautiful Delaware River – which you can watch spectacular sunsets from the front porch. Although Jill’s house is close to Main Street, it has a really secluded and private feel to it with a large backyard surrounded by mature trees and beautiful plantings. It’s not unusual to see a variety of birds, deer, woodchucks, squirrels and other wildlife wandering through.
I have the extreme pleasure - and fortune – to rent a large attached addition to her house for my architectural office.

I am the Executive chef at The Forestburgh Playhouse & Tavern and concert presenter - RiverFolk Concerts. My dad was born and raised in Narrowsburg, and I moved here permanently in 1980. I have owned a restaurant locally and had an off-premises catering business. I am involved in the arts, am a volunteer for WJFF Radio Catskill, our local public radio station, drive for our volunteer ambulance corps, and am environmentally conscious. I listen to a wide variety of music and am deeply rooted in current folk music and crossovers, I present a concert series monthly except in the summer when my job keeps me too busy. I love to cook, and can easily cook for many people, but not so good at dinner for two! Give me independent films or a good book by the river and I'm happy.
