This loft space is unusual enough but especially to find in Mayfair. It is a bright, light airy space with high ceilings. There is a separate kitchen area, a bedroom with a king bed, two bathrooms (one with tub, the other with WC and shower) and an outside balcony with a table for two. The living area contains two sofa beds. The apartment is not overlooked and has a vista over the roof tops of Mayfair towards Hyde Park. The elevator runs from Ground to Fourth Floor and then there is one flight of stairs (16 steps) to apartment. A caretaker is on site each weekday morning.

How the flat works:
Elevator/Lift – 3 people max. It operates from Ground Floor (back of hall) to 4th floor (then a flight of 16 steps to 5th floor flat). You must ensure that both door and gates are closed or lift will not work. When lift reaches 4th floor you have to turn around and exit other side by opening gate and lifting door handle UP. When you leave lift ensure you close both door and gate.
Electrical: Fuse box is in upper cupboard to left of front door. Should anything trip, reset the switch.
Water: The Mains water tap is behind a panel in the lower cupboard (left of front door)
Gas: Mains Gas tap is under bath tub (right end of bath)
Lighting: Two panels (one by entryphone & the other by balcony window) control most of the lights.
First row – wall lights in sitting room
Second row – under lights along skirting strip
Third row – Chandelier, balcony etc
Kitchen & dining lights – operated by two switches on the first support opposite front door
Dining area – a switch by the mirror operates the other two dining area lights.
TV/Den ceiling light is operated by a (cream coloured) remote
Kitchen lights are also operated by a switch on the right panelling
Heating – the boiler unit is in cabinet above centre window. The timer switch is on panel below at side of centre window. Thermostat is by entryphone. There is an easy 1 hour quick button on the timer box.
Gas fire - DO NOT USE
Wifi – RELISH - the password is 'ferguson'
Rubbish – Leave your rubbish bagged up securely outside the flat door. The caretaker removes it usually at 8am Monday – Friday. At weekends you can take it to the black containter in small side street opposite (at end of Thomas Goode shop).
There are Recycling bags under kitchen sink for such stuff which is taken away once a week – usually on Wednesday or Thursday.
Small Shower/ Steam room – If you use use the small shower room switch on the vent (switch on kitchen side wall). Make sure you have mats to step onto as water escaping can be a problem. Remember to switch off Vent.
Washing Machine – is behind door in kitchen area. It is easy to operate and is quickest using 'Quick Wash'.
Dryer – kept in closet by front door. Clean filter (tray inside door) before/after each use.
Simple drying – airers are in same closet and in cleaner closet in kitchen
Dish washer – keep filters clean. It is a simple machine to operate with 4 settings and an on/off button.
Vacuum cleaner – this is a washable bagless machine which should be washed every so often and dried throughly. Careful with filters etc.
Balcony/Terrace – Be careful with the doors and locks. They may just be a bit stiff but don't need a hefty approach.
Hair dryer – is in blue chest by bathroom. Please replace it.
Smoking outside only please. There are ashtrays in kitchen cupboard so you don't need to use the plant pots.
Food and wine shopping – though there is a some small Tesco food/essential store a moment away in Curzon Street & Sainsbury's at Green Park. The bigger, better shops are Marks & Spencer (M&S) and John Lewis – both in Oxford Street and both have good food halls on their lower floor.
Restaurants – Scott's (fancy fish) is in Mount Street, Shepherd's Market (is not a real market) has a bunch of interesting and different restaurants and so does St Christopher's Place (other side of Oxford St opposite Bond St tube). Punch Bowl pub in South Street and Running Footman in Charles St. Audley pub OK for easy eats.
Shopping – You are surrounded by all the flagship stores of the major marks. Also in Bond Street.
More comfortable department stores on Oxford St are M&S, John Lewis, Debenhams and the incredibly priced Primark clothes store.
Harrods is not too far – a 20 minute walk -in Knightsbridge (Piccadilly line tube) and Fortnum & Mason is in Piccadilly.
Buckingham Palace is about 20 minutes walk.
UK Museums are generally free admission (tho ask for donations). South Kensington (beyond Knightsbridge has lots). The Wallace Collection in Manchester Square (behind Selfridges/Oxford St) is a delightful family horde of paintings and curiosities.
My neighbours are tolerant, respectful and respectable and would appreciate any guests to be the same.
No heels on wood floors, smoking on balcony. No pets. No parties.
