Jennifer was fantastic. The apartment was everything we hoped for. The mountain views were beautiful. It was nice to be able to make a big breakfast in the morning. The entire experience was wonderful. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Incredible location. Fire pit under the stars was amazing. I'd come back!

my wife and I went there with my parents, we had amazing time, it's quiet and tranquil place on top (or closer to top ) of the Ira mountain , and hardly 5 miles from town.

We arrived late in the evening and so we didn't get a lot of time to enjoy the view before the sun set. It was very peaceful and we had a good night's sleep in clean comfortable beds. There was a nice kitchen and a full sized fridge that you could use. If you were staying longer it would have been a really nice asset. The clothes washer or dryer was broken so I wouldn't count on using that unless it is fixed. There is a laundromat in town. The area is relatively quiet and the towns are small. It reminded me of the Upper Penninsula of Michigan as did much of Maine. The road was a bit rough to get up there, so I wouldn't recommend taking a car up there that has a fancy paint job. We didn't stay long, just one night and didn't get to meet Jennifer, so we didn't really get the Superhost Experience that we usually enjoy when the host is there.

It was a great location to enter in and out the sugarloaf. We can see the ongoing renovation. However, there was construction materials such as glasses in the yard. Also, the door to some hazard materials like paintings is unlocked. Especially travel with young kids, I don't think it's a ideal place to stay. Also, no keys which not mentioned in the description. So, you can not lock the house even though the host claimed its a "gated" community.

Hi Su-Tang, Sorry you did not feel secure in the community on your overnight stay. It is very private, gated, and as I mentioned cameras on location as well. It's part of the locations charm being "out of the way-off the beaten path". I will make sure to lock that door into the the utility room--it is lockable--I'm just afraid something will go wrong and people will need to get in there. You're right about the stacked glass doors--probably not good for kids to play around. With winter gone--summer fixing continues. Thanks for the comments. Best regards, Jennifer

Jennifer was extremely responsive throughout the booking process, as well as once we were there. The listing was very accurate in terms of size, amenities and location. The home was located a mile up a private road and you are effectively in the mountains. The seclusion was so peaceful and the sunset each night was worth the price of admission. The layout of the home was very open with lots of space to enjoy your group and the kitchen was stocked with all your basic needs to make food during your stay. Upon our arrival, there was a bottle of wine waiting for us and Jennifer had reached out multiple times to let us know she was available for any questions during our stay. It was an easy 15-20 minute drive to Sugarloaf and my group of four was extremely satisfied with our stay. Great place, great host, highly recommend and would stay again. Thanks Jennifer!

What a beautiful spot! My boyfriend and I stayed for a long ski birthday weekend getaway. It was the perfect location, close to Sugarloaf but still off the beaten path. We loved the views, peace and quiet and that hot tub! There is no better way to wrap up a day on the slopes than with a soak in the hot tub looking out at the mountains. The rooms were nicely made up and the place was clean. Plenty of living space if you are planning to bring a group. We loved having the full kitchen as we cooked all of our meals right there! If your planning to cook I would recommend bringing a sharp knife and a non stick pan. Wonderful spot- can't wait to go back next winter! Thanks Jennifer!

I love Maine and I'm not originally from here, but moved here many years ago and stayed! I have two homes. One in the mountains and the other on the coast-I love to share the places with others because I feel like I am on vacation all the time! I can give recommendations to places because I think of myself as a tourist in my own town(s).

As a host I'll leave you alone unless you need me. Not usually far from my phone. Never worry that your bothering me :)

That's also how I travel. I like to live like a native of the area. See the little special things that make every town and neighborhood special. Sample all the food styles, drink the local wines, drive or walk as the locals do. Take the back roads. Find the quiet in the busy and the busy in the quiet.
