Jeanette went above and beyond to make my son and his girlfriend's birthdays special! They loved the cabin and the oil lamp. They loved the walk to and from the cabin. It was a magical weekend for them!

Rustic paradise! Tiny house in the woods, with bare amenities in a quant atmosphere. Large bed, camping stove and wooden table provides the right amount of comfort for people escaping city life for some R and R. We enjoyed a weekend away here-nice quiet cabin-like house to stay in and about a 25 minute drive to Duluth's resteraunts and fun. Couple of heads up: this is co-run by neighbors and to get to the cabin you'll need to walk a back forest path or drive through a field. There is water from a tank and the bathroom is the great outdoors. I used the generator for lights one night and switched to provided candles the next. There is also a fire pit right outside. If you are looking for a bit of a romantic getaway, this is a good option!

The cabin was in a great, quiet spot outside of Maple. Jeanette was a great host; see was good at communication, and did so in a timely manner. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a secluded, beautiful place to stay.

The cabin, built by the property owner Al, was beautifully crafted, cozy, and had everything we needed for a calm weekend. Jeanette was a gracious host and made clear that we could contact her at any point about anything we needed (which we didn't find necessary). With Duluth about 30 minutes away and Bayfield about an hour away, we found plenty to do during the day and were happy to have a secluded, quiet place to return to at night. We would happily return for another stay if in the area again.

I grew up in Poplar,WI. I graduated 1986 from Northwestern High School in Maple. I have been in Colorado for the past 28 years. I felt the calling of the Northland last Fall, so my husband and I packed up and moved back. We are blessed to live on a wonderful farm and manage Al's cabins while he is on mission in New Guinea.

We have 2 German Short-hair and a Chihuahua mix dogs, and a silly Siamese mix cat. We raise rabbits, chickens, and a garden for sustainability.
