The accommodation: The accommodation is spacious, nice, cosy and very clean. There were 4 big towels and 2 small ones ready. We liked that we could site outside in the garden. The neighborhood: On the other site of the street you have a supermarkter, a grocery/convenience store for sigarettes and a Laundry. The street behind this street has many shops (for beer&wine) and many restaurants (5 min. walk). Young Street (City centre) is 15 minutes away by streetcar. The streetcar stops in front of the house. Susan&Kei: Susan&Kei are very nice and attentive. They give you privacy, but they are also open to a fun and good contact. We have a very nice contact with them. They are very positive, social and welcoming.

My girlfriend and I stayed 7 nights in mid July 2017. This was our first AirBNB stay and we couldn't have been more pleased with our hosts KEi and Susan. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and were quite flexible in accommodating our travel and check in/checkout needs. They even arranged a street parking permit for us at no additional cost and had a bottle of wine waiting. The backyard cottage was nicer than we expected. This was, apparently, originally a garage and was converted into a perfect temporary living space. The first thing I must mention is how quiet the location was. We expected a great deal of city noise and were pleasantly surprised by the silence most frequently broken by nature. Birds, squirrels etc. we rarely heard a passing vehicle while indoors. I was nervous about the shower as it was not pictured. Do not worry. The shower is excellent, modern and sophisticated. The design is fantastic, a great blend of industrial and modern put together with an artistic eye. Best of all, it is very comfortable. The furniture is great, the couch was deceivingly comfortable! Natural lighting was very nice, the skylights in the loft area let in a generous amount of sunshine. The quality of towels and linens were very good and added to our overall delight. We saved a good bit over the hotel alternative by utilizing the kitchenette for breakfast and lunches. It has a toaster oven, 4 burner gas range top, deep sink, compact fridge with mini freezer compartment, stove top espresso maker, electric water boiler, and basic utensils, cookware and dishes. The best meal was an egg quiche from scratch that we baked in the toaster oven. Almost directly across the street is a laundromat and a medium grocery store "No Frills". The home is also adjacent to the Toronto street car network on King street. Downtown is walkable but a bit far so the streetcar came in handy. We purchased a weekly pass for unlimited use of all public transit, very useful. Navigating the city was easy and there were many great restaurants to explore. The home is also a short walk to lakeside with a great walking boardwalk and bike path. Bike rental kiosks are close buy and very affordable. The local YMCA is a few miles away and offers free passes for tourists up to 2 weeks with email registration online and ID. Pool, basketball, gym, squash, sauna, whirlpool and more! We would definitely stay here again and recommend this airBNB to anyone. We had nothing really to complain about during the stay. A few things that would have been nicer if better: 1. wifi service is a bit spotty and slow. There is no TV so we were hoping to stream video and had some issues doing so. 2. Kitchen had a few limitations, like no microwave, limited cookware, limited fridge space, lack of ice/ice cubes. 3. The skylights did make it a bit...

Wow! All we can say is Wow! What a wonderful place to stay! Not only because of the beautiful property, but because of these beautiful people - KEi and Susan. From the moment we set foot on the property we fell in love with the place and our hosts. KEi and Susan were so welcoming, warm, kind, generous, and thoughtful. We were there for a week and found it terribly hard to leave. We miss them both already! The cottage is at the back of their property - a quiet oasis in a great neighbourhood just a few miles west of downtown Toronto. When traveling it's important to us to have quiet, personal space, some privacy, and the cottage had all this. Close to restaurants, cafes, cool/hip boutique stores, bars, coffee shops, local markets, and the tram/streetcar (just a 15 min ride to downtown). KEi and Susan have made the cottage a truly exceptional place to stay - incredibly comfortable, stylish, clean, with amazing furniture (from KEi's design company) and nice touches like the "hovering" fireplace in the bedroom (wonderful!!) that was full of wood and ready to be enjoyed, the exposed glass shower, the claw foot bath tub, hammock chair, skylights, a most perfect little kitchen, a private deck/patio, morning birdsong in the trees, all the privacy you need, and the most pleasant and genuine neighbours/hosts. We are so grateful to have found this place, and to have found these lovely people who have become friends. This is an incredible space in a great location with the kindest and most respectful hosts you could wish for. You'll thrive here whether it's for a few days or a month. Choose to be here over other places you're considering, be it business or vacation. You'll be glad you did. Thank you!! Lee & Micah

Staying in this cottage is hands down my favorite Airbnb experience to date. The space is incredible. Clean, well designed and thought out, and every detail covered. There are board games, the fireplace came ready to light, and everything I needed to make a good cup of coffee was readily available for me. The bed was extremely comfortable, and waking up under the light of four deep light wells was such a joy. The house is extremely photogenic, which, as a photographer matters a lot to me! The furnishings are tasteful, comfortable, and minimal. There's a gorgeous private patio which was ideal for taking in the sunny days, on which my hosts left a gorgeous bunch of flowers and the most fragrant mint on. KEi was my main point of contact, and was nothing but the most friendly and accommodating host I've dealt with. I felt honored to be one of the first to stay in this very special home, and should I return to Toronto, I won't stay anywhere else. The location is a little far away from the action but the tram out front gets you there quickly. I would suggest this place to anyone seeking a special, beautiful true home away from home. You won't want to leave...I certainly didn't.
