For the independent traveler on an extended stay in Kyoto, the Gion Apartments are a perfect alternative to run-of-the-mill hotels in the same price category. The apartment is private and fully outfitted with its own bathroom, kitchen and laundry.
Provided for your comfort are two twin beds, with an additional single futon available upon request. In addition there is a sofa with coffee table, a small dining table with chairs, fully equipped kitchen, and washer and dryer. Also there is a television as well as a high-speed wireless internet connection.
In terms of size, the apartment is roughly 25 square meters. It’s just right for two persons, but will also work for three persons (the third person sleeping on a futon placed in the living room.)
We have several almost identical units, which are very similar in size, layout, and furnishings, so don't be surprised if your apartment varies slightly from the photos in this listing. The photos are a very good representation of what you'll be getting.

My favorite things about Kyoto...exploring the backstreets by bicycle or on foot, enjoying Kyoto cuisine, and hanging out with old friends.
Bridging the rest of the world with Kyoto is one of my missions in life, and I was one of the innovators in the vacation rental business in Kyoto, having started in 2003.
