Be respectful of furnishings, neighbors, no loud music, no smoking in the house. Guests should clean and put away any dishes that are used, and clean up after themselves. Well behaved pets are welcome with host approval and pet fee- please cleanup after them! Please either place used sheets and towels in laundry baskets in the basement, or leave the beds unmade so it is obvious which ones need to be changed, including sofa beds. DO NOT REMOVE MATTRESS PADS, BLANKETS OR COMFORTERS PLEASE! If furniture is moved, please return it to original locations and return futons to couch position. There is a blue recycling tub in the kitchen for bottles, cans, paper and cardboard. Please put these items in the recycling bin. We appreciate you separating trash from recyclables, as residents pay a fine for items not in the proper receptacles! No pizza boxes in recycling. Guests need to observe the check-out time of 11:00 AM, unless pre-approved for "late departure." We are sometimes able to accommodate late departure if we do not have another guest checking in on the same day. Otherwise, we need every bit of that time to clean and make up beds with fresh linens for the next guest! Thanks!! Have fun! Do not park in neighbor's driveways at any time! Homes are close together, so please minimize noise when returning home late in the evening.
Trash and recycling are picked up on Thursday, so the garbage and recycling cans need to be taken to the treelawn in front of the house either Wednesday evening or Thursday morning by 8:00 AM. Guests are asked to do this, but if it will create a hardship due to mobility issues or scheduling, please let us know and we will drive over and take care of it. Thanks!!
I love to cook, and often entertain. I enjoy films and serve on the selection committee for the Cleveland International Film Festival. I love to travel, am completely addicted to recorded books of many genres, and love being in the water. I work in food service equipment sales, and part-time as a massage therapist, and my "fun" jobs include teaching water aerobics and doing in-home wine tastings as a wine consultant. My favorite vacations, so far, have been Bermuda, the Washington coast, and New Orleans. I truly enjoy hospitality, sharing about my adopted city, and have a longer term goal of opening a more traditional bed and breakfast. I can be as helpful, or as unobtrusive as desired.
