We loved our stay at Jenny and Mike's lovely home right on the water. We slept very well in our small cottage and we didn't mind the short walk to use the washroom. Jenny offers dinner for a very reasonable extra price and we were so happy we chose to have a Chinese meal. We ate with the family outside on their gorgeous deck. Mike cheerfully offered travel advice amidst other lively and genial topics of conversation. After dinner Mike made a campfire for us. Delightful. This was one of our best experiences with Airbnb ever.

Jenny is a wonderful airbnb host with a beautiful house and location on Lake Huron. She and her family are very friendly and enjoyable to talk with. We opted for her homemade Chinese dinner which was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend Jenny!

This was a wonderful place to stay! The rustic view from our room was incredible. Jenny and Mike were amazing hosts who clearly loved sharing their home with us, as well as their love for the area. We look forward to going back when we have more time to enjoy all they have to offer.

We are just finishing a 21 day road trip and stayed at airbnbs 15 nights--every night except when visiting with friends. "Sleepy Hollow" was tied for first place! Jenny and Michael were great with every angle--hospitality, food, entertainment, accommodations, suggestions, etc. When they first greeted us it was as if we had been friends forever. Everything was perfect--Michael built an outdoor fire and joined us for drinks near the water. Jenny was busy cooking us the best authentic Chinese dinner we had ever had. We must have had 10 different dishes, one better than the next, definitely five stars. The food kept coming and coming and coming. She spared no time nor expense. They asked if their friends, Mikey and Randy, could join us. What a delight to share stories with the two couples After all of that, Jenny and I took a 4-5 mile walk and eventually Mikey joined us. Soon on the walk we were visiting our new (their) friends at their cottage on the water nearby. We chose to sleep in the bunky cabin near the water's edge--a perfect little building settled away from their main home. The next morning, Jenny again served us a great breakfast outside with the sounds of nature around us. Michael and I even through in a fishing line but not luck! We would return in a heartbeat for a longer stay. Highly recommend this airbnb and can't say enough positive things about it or the hosts. You won't be disappointed with their hospitality!

Jenny and Mike were friendly, accommodating and generous hosts. Jenny is a great cook and wanted to make sure we were well fed! The location is perfect and the Bunkie cute. It's a perfect place to kayak or boat from.

First, let us say this place is beautiful! We arrived after dark, but when we woke up in the morning, we thought we'd landed on an enchanted island...and we had! The little cabin is very small, but with access to the main house for bathroom and eating, and with a huge yard, a fire circle, a dock and lots of water frontage, this is a quiet, tree-lined, scenic, water-front estate. We could hear the water lapping the shore as we slept. Jenny and her husband were super-friendly and helpful, and Jenny made us a fantastic breakfast, which we enjoyed with them in their sunny kitchen with a view of the lake. The only caveat is that we recommend arriving before dark and being clear on your directions before arriving. The main road is west of Desberats, not IN Desberats, and you have to pass over a one-lane causeway, which is easier in daylight. But even arriving at night, it was fun and beautiful. You really feel you are "crossing over" to someplace special.

Jenny and her husband welcomed us warmly. The setting is beautiful. She let us share use of her well appointed kitchen, which we appreciated greatly. The cabin we stayed in was nice, but quite small. Fortunately, we had use of the living room in the house, which was nice. We most enjoyed the beautiful setting, right on Lake Huron, perfect for motorized and non-motorized boating. One of us is keen on biking and had three nice 40-50 mile bike rides on well paved, rural roads in the area. There are also many unpaved roads in the area.
