This air bnb was exactly what I was looking for. The apartment is perfectly cozy, and just far enough away from the busy streets that noise was no issue! Melissa was a dear, very prompt responses when needed, and I can tell she took time and care when curating the apartment. The …

Melissa was very helpful in the beginning of our booking of her apartment. The apartment itself was quirky, beautifully decorated, clean, and had everything we needed. The double shower head was awesome as were the toiletries she provides for her renters' use. She responded promp…

1. its detabable that my house is in mantua. 2. ive lived in philly most of 17 years and the only place ive ever been robbed in is rittenhouse square (the most affluent area in town.) check those statistics against philadelphia as a whole or any other neighborhood and recognize how large the geographic area is - there are far more robberies around upenn. "there have been 726 reported crimes on or near Penn's campus in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) accounts of theft on campus (which is a far smaller geographic area than mantua) which is almost double the theft in this place you scoured the internet in order to degrade. 3. i talked you through my neighborhood in detail & made sure you read my disclaimer because you were two young upperclass white kids coming to see the EAGLES play (?!?.) after all that, your question "is our car going to be ok" seemed honestly very racist when EVERYONES car on the street is ok. my next door neighbor has two BMWs, the street is lined with relatively nice / recent cars that are all okay. my car is parked there on the street and is okay. I genuinely dont understand if thats an actual question. Is your car made of solid gold? are there exceptional circumstances that im not aware of? If not, your question is rhetorical or racist - you decide which. I honestly turned my listing off after this incident because i realized my patience with hand holding suburban / upperclass whites had warn thin and i needed to take a break from it. i'm really trying in my ad to deflect uptight racist people who have no business even coming to philly from staying at my house. look at the loads of comments from people who totally felt my neighborhood was fine, or even nice in their experience! and then understand that YOUR evaluations are not universal. I live in a neighborhood populated by people who do not deserve to be criminalized by you. Do us all a favor and pay more to stay in a neighborhood that meets your ideals (which would honestly keep you out of philly as a whole.)

I had a bit of a rough week after my vacation plans fell through after an accident, and my stay at Melissa's place was a great comfort during a very stressful weekend. The check-in was well streamlined and clearly explained so I had no issues getting into the apartment, and the p…

Nice sized inner city apartment with street parking that worked well for us. Neighborhood a bit loud on some nights but probably worsened by keeping the windows open due to the heat wave hitting the city while we were there.

Great location, walkable distance from center city if willing to walk for about 30-40 mins on nice weather.

Interesting house and neighborhood. Close to bus and trolley. We enjoyed our stay. Hostess answered questions quickly. Would stay here again. Eat at Texas Weiner a few blocks away if you get a chance. Great coffee and great food.
