Gustus and Sally are very likely the most hospitable and friendly home-owners in all of Kumasi. They open their family home and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Hope to see them and their kids many more times, I'm definitely staying in touch!

I was only at the location for a night's stay, but it was a comfortable night in Kumasi. The fan was very much appreciated and everyone was quite friendly!

Gustus is a good communicator and was very kind to pick me up from the bus station and drive me to his house. He gave me a quick tour of the area and I was able to pick up a Tro-Tro near by and visit the famous Kejetia Market which was an experience as a lone traveler that was out of this world. I thoroughly enjoyed navigating the narrow streets. I was made to feel welcome by both he and his wife. The house is comfortable and there is a bar - One Good Venture serving food and good music just across the street. The next day my guide Ben, from Kumasi Walking Days Tours (trip Advisor) picked me up a Gustus's place for a tour of Kumasi. All in all, I would say that this is a very good base whilst in Kumasi.

Gustos house was very nice. His wife sally was very kind to pick us up nearby and made breakfast for us (oatmeal and bread) which was so nice. Gusto and sally both speak fluently English which makes communication easy. I would go there again if I visit Kumasi.

What a wonderful place to stay in Kumasi! I really enjoyed getting to know Gustus, his family, and his other house. It's a lively house and they are friendly, flexible, personal, and generous hosts. The location is close to both local eating restaurants and a KFC, and it's easy to hop on a trotro and experience what Kumasi has to offer. Definitely recommend!

I'm so glad I stumbled upon Gustus' place on AirBnB. I spent my first night in Kumasi at an overpriced hotel that was completely void of people (called Okubi). I had originally booked another night there, but decided to check out a day early and find somewhere a little more friendly and social. Gustus' place seemed like the best bet, and I was right. He was incredibly accommodating form the beginning: picking me up in his car from the KFC near his place and later driving me to dinner. He also provided breakfast, towels, and everything I needed. Was a joy to share the home with his family, and with a Surinamese student who was in Kumasi studying climate change (super interesting conversations). This is your best bet for Kumasi, for sure.

I have grown to believe that helping others is the key to a successful life. Playing around with kids is my passion and very sociable.
