El lugar

The land my home sits on what was originally HAWTHORNE Park owned by Dr. Hawthorne and then given to his daughters. Dr. Hawthorne began the first insane asylum in the SE part of Portland and Hawthorne Blvd is named for him.

Disponible para huéspedes

I want you to feel at home and ask me for (almost) anything! You will have ample access to spaces in the home. Street parking is available and Urber and Smart Cars exist if you don't feel like walking. I also Love to socialize with my guests
I'll make sure to show you around first time but you'll have your own key and be able to come and go as you please.

Atención a los huéspedes

I will be there to greet you! Since I work from home I am around most of the day time.
You can even take some savvy sewing class or make a hat for an extra fee at the studio.
I'd love to share a tea or wine with you on the porch, if time permits. I will have maps and names of places in the area to go. Also check the guidebook! Portland is so cool!

Otros aspectos destacables

There is a black cat named VooDoo. He is super friendly and WILL NOT be in your room. He roams the place, with a healthy dose of curled up sleeping time. I keep the place very clean and free of hair; if you are highly allergic you might be bothered. I have one small room that can be occupied by another person at times; two bathrooms make it not a problem!
Getting here:
Taxis are available right from airport. Many times I use the MAX Light Rail system - from the baggage claim area to the farthest corner of the you will see signs to MAX. Pay the $2.50 fare from the kiosk and wait outside to board. It might be waiting already, the airport s it is the end of the line. The Max will take you to the Lloyd Center Stop. From there you can call a cab (

Or from the Max light rail Lloyd Center station you can walk a few blocks to at 16th and NE Multnomah. Look for a #70 bus stop ( $2.50 for all day ) and board that. Get off at 11th and SE Madison, walk East to 15th street. My place is between Main and Madison.

Kitchen is shared and equipped.
Some classes are held weekly during the day in the downstairs sewing room. You will have notice of the schedule.
You are free to come and go at those times without a worry of disruption. Since you will be sharing my home, I will have some more details to explain with you when we meet.

My husband and I found exactly what we needed in ElizaBeth's place. It was a very large room in a beautiful old home. A quiet and comfortable place to stay. We enjoyed wandering the local neighborhood and had an interesting and tasty meal at Pok Pok. Parking was very easy as was public transportation in rhis area. We went all over the city with ease. I highly recommend staying here. Voodoo the cat is so friendly and adorable. Do not hestitate, we felt very welcome and had our privacy at the same time. Probably one of the best values around.

ElizaBeth is as charming as her lovely home. And you can't beat the location! The entire city is walkable from her house, and her neighborhood alone has enough going on to keep you entertained for days. Would definitely stay again!

Elizabeth was a great host. She was very helpful. There is a cat that lives in the house. And voodoo the cat is a sweetheart. The location is great. Right by Lardos and a food truck park. The rooms were nice and the whole whole is quite quaint and tastefully decorated. Elizabeth was communicative and I enjoyed every interaction I had with her. I would recommend staying here and would stay again.

Really cozy and beautiful and quiet home in a lovely neighbourhood. Elizabeth is a very welcoming and helpful host . Location was very convenient for me as I still could walk to everything I wanted to see/visit. Finding a parking spot was easy too.

See that hat?! That's a signature look for me. I am a Milliner and Custom Clothier; a creative and artistic person with a love of life. Add a touch of luxury and a bit of vintage to create a story about my history. I am sure at one time I lived in a small town in Italy in the late 1920's. We all love stories!
Oregon feeds me with it's beautiful nature; a continual source of inspiration.
I have lived in Portland for 35 years, raised a family here and taught many students. Life is impermanence, so now my place is a Home Boutique and Sewing studio and I LIVE here, too Come see what's up, relax on the porch, or the atelier and let's share some stories.
