If I could, I would give this camp a 10-star rating. Our group of 10, 2 Dutch and Serbian American families (4 adults with 6 children (2 of 6 were kids with special needs)) had the best time of our lives.
We loved everything about this place!
In the area where there are numerous rafting camps, we did not see a single one that came even close to the charm and location of this place.
Most other camps are located on open fields by the water while this one was so beautifully positioned among the trees (and still right next to the water), so thoughtfully designed, you feel like you are in your own piece of heaven.
The place is super functional, very clean, adorably charming, the staff is so eager to make your stay a perfect one. We were there for 2 nights, had 5 meals and had organized a rafting trip for all 10 of us.
Food is so delicious, all organic, plentiful, diverse. With 6 picky eater kids (3 Dutch and 3 Americans), you would expect some requests for something familiar but there were none. The kids loved the food and adults couldn't believe our luck to come across this place. We all felt like we gained a couple of pounds just from those 5 fantastic meals.
Rafting activity was a highlight of our stay. We were worried that with 2 kids with special needs, we wouldn't all be able to participate. However, the staff reassured us that the water levels were appropriate for both of our families and all the children to come along.
Our guide was very safety conscious but fun, imaginative, patient. He did everything in his power to make our experience the most memorable one. Our 11km ride lasted longer than any other one from other camps because we got to play in the water, swim, the guide even created a super fun, creative and cool slide for the kids and adults to use - we all had a blast. We never felt like the guide was just doing his job and looking forward to ending the trip. He genuinely did everything in his power to make our rafting experience safe and fun.
The nature itself is unbelievably beautiful, clear waters, beautiful canyon.
All in all, if we didn't have to follow the rest of our itinerary, we would have stayed there for another couple of days. We'll definitely return again and will send all our friends here.
I was incredibly lucky to come across this particular camp (made reservations 4 months ahead) because I am CERTAIN that if we went to any other camp around there, we wouldn't have come out with this feeling of exhilaration. We obviously all fell in love with the camp Divlja Rijeka, rivers Tara and Drina and every single staff member of this fantastic place.
They deserve 5+5 star rating!!!
