Linda and Phil were the best hosts, very welcoming and great with kids. The bungalow is a good space with a beautiful garden and friendly pub at the end of the road. Definately recommend a visit to High Lodge if you have children, about a 20 minute drive. We also went to Bewilderwood, a good day out about an hour away. Fantastic holiday for a family of 4. Thanks guys x
This is a lovely cosy bungalow with everything one might need, including oven, hob, washing machine, hair dryer etc. We stayed with 2 small children and all enjoyed our stay. Both bed and sofa bed are comfy, shower has had warm water without fail. The location is great, I went for a run in the morning and it was one of the best runs I've had, I spotted 3 deers, ducks flying out from canals, and around 50 rabbits. For the families with children, there is a High Lodge centre in the woods with amazing playgrounds , Gruffallo trail, musical trail, nice cafe, bike rental, and its only 20 minutes drive from the bungalow. The garden outside bungalow is lovely too with lots of flowers and a pond with little waterfall and fish. Linda and Phil are kind and very welcoming, they even prepared a bottle of wine for us on our arrival. We will return to this bungalow in the future as we had great time here.
We had a great stay and really got the feel of living in the Norfolk countryside. Would like to have been able to stay longer! Local village pub just down the road was great, food choices excellent and a good bitter on tap, and the locals friendly. Oxburgh Hall is close as are other national trust gems in North Norfolk. A great experience and we plan to be back some day!
