We stayed at the Thsilli Farm for five nights, and each was a new adventure. From the moment we boarded Adrian's open-air safari truck for the 45-minute ride to the farm on sand roads to watching from their deck, cider in hand, elephants tussle in the Delta water to sharing stories around the post-dinner campfire, our time at the Tshilli Farm was everything we hoped and more. Sophie cooked delicious, creative meals that included locally-sourced ingredients as well as foods that were more familiar to our kids' American palate. Adrian's lifetime of experience in the Delta and surrounding bush ensured that our game drive, river boat ride, and evening with a local family who sang and danced and invited us to dance with them were exciting, comfortable, informative, and altogether wonderful. Like another reviewer, we felt more like part of the family than guests during our time at the Tshilli Farm, particularly when chatting with the kids, the completely charming Anna and more introspective Nicholas.

The farm is a beautifully set, quiet, lovely place to stay with wonderful people and great food. Our bed was incredibly comfortable - even on a quite cold night with lots of warm blankets! We wish we had been able to take advantage of that bed for both nights in which we booked but due to our own miscalculations, we ended up stuck in the mud at Moremi Game Reserve and, without Sophie's help via our satellite phone, we likely would still be stuck there and in very bad shape. Sophie went above-and-beyond in securing rescue services for us and we could not be more thankful. The night in the bush was stressful and difficult but having Sophie as our lifeline kept us from completely losing it. Once we were back to town and able to have a delicious lunch at her cafe, the restful environment of the farm, the beautiful, comfortable bedroom, the open, relaxing common area, sitting by the fire, and sharing a wonderful dinner were great "medicine" for what we had experienced the night before. Breakfast and coffee were lovely and the company was wonderful. We learned so much about Botswana and the passion that Sophie and her husband have for their country and the farm is clear. We couldn't recommend this wonderful place more! Thank you so much, Sophie!

If you like pure nature in Okavango, this is a must be place. A perfect combination between basic and luxe The 3 rooms stand near by the house in de bushes, allowing you to wake up with a amazing view over the delta and its wildlife. We did the Mokoro trip. It was spectacular and meeting the young elefant bull turned out to be a memory never to forget. The game drive with Adrian in to the Okavango delta is unique. Adrian is a very experienced guide who knows this area very well. Driving through the fields with no roads is the real safari. Completely private with no humans around. We met the hyppo's in a lagoon. So quiet and pure. We thank everybody of the Tshilli farm for this ones in a lifetime experience.

Do not hesitate and book this accommodation! Enjoy the sounds of nature and spend some relaxing time at the peaceful locating. Friendly staff and personal touch by Sophie and family. Don't forget to book a walking safari with Adrian (who has lots of experience) and/or a boat trip with Sophie to enjoy the Bush and Okavango rivers. All highly recommended. Also plan for a delicious lunch at the chilly farm cafe !

Great hosts, professional communication already before arrival, transfer from Maun to the Lodge offered (4x4 needed especially after rains!) - about 40 min drive. The place itself is ideal for nature lovers, the chalets made from local materials and are situated apart from the main house and other chalets so one enjoys privacy while being in the midst of nature. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished - the beds are very comfortable! We woke up with the African "bush concert" (birds, animals, etc.) - ideal for nature lovers. Adrian is very knowledgeable and a great Safari guide (with 4x4 or on foot), the staff attends to every needs and Sophie is a great host, making us feel comfortable and part of the family. Winding down at the end of the day in the Delta at the camp fire with a G&T or glass of wine - what more does one need?

After just a day or two at the Chili Farm we felt less like we were renting a place on Airbnb and more like we were staying with friends. Sophie and her husband, Adrian, went WAY out of their way to accommodate us and help us have a wonderful time. They picked us up at the airport, arranged a helicopter ride and a canoe trip and drove us nearly an hour to get there. Sophie spent half the day taking my mom shopping in town and babysat for my year and a half old daughter while Adrian took the rest of us on a walking safari in the nearby delta. Sophie made us delicious meals every night despite our numerous food allergies and restrictions. We were there in the off season but still saw elephants, buffalo, hippos, giraffes, and all sorts of antelope. For my daughter though the best part of the trip was petting their pet pig! All together I can't say enough good things about Sophie and the Chili Farm.

This is a fantastic place right on the floodplain with wildlife, organic farming and the great tshilli sauce! Sophie and Adrian are great hosts, combining warmth at the same time as giving space, in the same way that the set up is private and communal. A place to soak up the okavango magic.
