Alfredo (Giuseppina's husband) is a wonderful host - extremely welcoming and helpful! The apartmant is spacious and well equipped. Alfredo has also kindly provided us with stuff that we needed but that wasn't there when we arrived (for example, a coffee-maker). The apartment is exactly as it looks on the pictures (3 bedrooms + 3 bathrooms + kitchen). There's also a balcony in each bedroom. The house is 15 minutes away from the beach (Lido di Naxos) where all the cafes and restaurants are as well. The house is located in a quiet neighbourhood which was good. It's a 7-10 min drive from the apartment to a hypermarket where you can find everything you need. Again, if you plan on travelling by car, the location's great: 3 minutes and you're on the highway! I'd recommend this apartment, especially if you're travelling with a large group of people, as there're plenty of space and parking places.

We interacted mostly with Alfredo, Giuseppina’s husband. The hosts were very nice and friendly. Alfredo met us in the airport and drove to the house, provided information (map, contact numbers, bus schedule, etc…) for the house and town. He helped to arrange car rent for us or order pizza (we don’t speak Italian). It was very nice to receive homemade eggs and vegetables from our hosts (there are 2 hens in the backyard and tomato and cucumber plants). They did their best to help to resolve any inconveniences, provided us with things we needed for living and cooking. There were some difficulties with English, but we communicated and understood each other very well. The house description is accurate. The rooms are nice and neat. Just the pictures are taken from wide angle lens and enlarge the spaces a bit. But not critically. The big room is really big. The linen and towels were of good quality and clean, sufficiently provided. The owner’s family occupies the ground floor of the house and are there at your disposal if you need anything. So, it is the first floor which is rented. It has a separate entrance and you can be fully independent. Each of the 3 rooms has an individual bathroom and is locked with the key. Wifi internet was weak. It allowed to visit sites, but was slow and not available in all the rooms. There is a yard in front of the house (you can see in the picture) and our babies loved to run and play there. Especially they were happy to play with Alfredo’s 2 dogs and a cat who were allowed into the yard from time to time))) The way to the sea took us about 20+ mins. We were 2 families with 2-year-old babies and used strollers to reach the sea. And I must say it was a challenge for us as the pavements are very narrow, in some places there are stairs and the way back was a little up the hill. For travelers with bigger kids should not be such an issue. You can also get an impression of the surroundings if you “walk” the streets through (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps street view. A couple of small shops are located within 2-5 mins walk and a supermarket is around 10-15 mins away. Also, there is a nice fish shop and a butcher shop in 10 mins. Alfredo once drove us to a big supermarket which is 15 mins drive from the house. But then we preferred to use the local supermarket on the way to the sea. Just mind the opening hrs which have a siesta break. The beach is big and sandy. In some places where you enter the sea there are stones. The free beaches are pretty dirty and overcrowded. The paid lidos are fine though (16-18 euro per umbrella+2 beds). Thanks, Alfredo and Giuseppina, for your hospitality! It was a pleasure to meet you and stay in your house. Inna, Yury, Irina and...
