Station No. Six is located in the historic Greenlaw neighborhood 1 mile from Downtown Memphis. This spacious apartment is ideal for 2 but can accommodate up to 4 people. The apartment is completely private with a separate entrance from our residence.
Includes a full bath, kitchenette, WiFi, two queen beds, full size sleeper sofa, and couch. An iron can be arranged by requesting it the night before.
Stay in a historic Memphis fire station! Station No. Six was the last firehouse built for horse and buggy engines. It's been several things since the 1890s- a meat packing plant, a sundry store, an art studio, and now our home.
The ground floor apartment is a spacious studio with high ceilings. It's charming and quirky with original cobblestones in part of the quarters. If you are looking for a memorable, unique place to lay your head during your Memphis visit we have you covered.
The kitchenette includes:
-Fridge and freezer
-Staples: Sugar, salt, pepper grinder, plates, glasses, cutlery, spatula, serving spoon, coffee/tea mugs.
If we are available to do so, we'll happily let you borrow anything else you need.
There are two queen-size beds and a super comfy full-size sleeper sofa. Although the apartment can technically accommodate six people, we find that the studio apartment best suits two. Also the apartment does not have a full kitchen - no sink, oven, or stove.
Disponible para huéspedes
Guests will have access to the private downstairs apartment. Arrangements can be made ahead of time for laundry use.
Atención a los huéspedes
Tommy and Olivia live in above the apartment with their dog, cat, and new baby (June 2017). You'll have a separate entrance that is complete private, but you may see us around the property. You will hear us moving about upstairs when we are home.
While we work during the day and cannot guarantee that we will be available to welcome you, please do not hesitate to get in touch if you need anything.
For suggestions on what to do/eat/see, try the Airbnb guidebook! We put a lot of time into that feature and it's a great resource if we are not available. Also checkout NYT's 36 hours in Memphis. Good stuff there.

Station No. Six is owned by Tommy and Olivia, who live above the apartment. We are both native Memphians who have lived all over and finally got to come home. Wallace (cat) the fire chief and Ike (puppy) live upstairs with us.
We enjoy working in the yard, ribs, afternoon beers, and the drive-in movies.
