Nestled in the woods on a one acre lot, our spacious 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home is a half mile from Beaver Lake, five to ten minute drive to downtown Asheville, and one mile to I26. Two open air porches, luxury linens, and large open floor plan. Incredible family retreat! Fresh baked sourdough bread available (request when you book). (Given Asheville zoning laws, we can only rent out 2 bedrooms, which is the price listed. In short, you get the third bedroom for free.)
Come enjoy this quiet sanctuary conveniently located in an upscale neighborhood in North Asheville near Beaver Lake. Nestled on a heavily wooded one acre lot, this three bedroom home boasts two open air porches, vaulted ceilings, high end kitchen finishings, luxury linens, antique and hand-made furniture, two queen size beds, one double bed, down-filled leather couch, a reading room, and a large dining room table seating for ten. You should see the beauty from either porch of the leaves in the fall!
The home is 2.5 miles from downtown, less than half a mile to I26 (easy drive to Biltmore, West Asheville, and hiking destinations), and a ten minute walk to Beaver Lake (no view of the lake from the house).
This is our home, so the kitchen is fully stocked with all our favorite things including quality spices, everyday condiments, pots and pans, premium glassware, and Fiesta dinnerware. We have lights hanging in the trees, a hammock, and plenty of indoor and outdoor games (suitable for kids and adults).
We ask that guests respect our space as they would their own. No parties, excessive alcohol, or drugs. Since we live here, the bureau drawers and closets include our things. We make space in the closets for guests to hang clothes, and if you need drawer space let us know. Absolutely no smoking (we live in the woods; guests can smoke in front of our home on the road if necessary but you should trash you butts in the outdoor garbage cans. The same rules apply for electronic cigarettes. Should a renter smoke in the home, a fee of $500 will be charged to the credit card used to reserve the property.)
We have parking for two vehicles and sleeping (in beds) for six guests.
As your hosts, we can make recommendations for fun events happening during your stay including free music, wine tastings, plays and performances, hikes close by, among other things. You let us know what Asheville experience you want, and we'll make you a list of the "must see" and "must do" moments. LGBTQ+ friendly space.
Please note: Wi-Fi, TV with DVD player, Apple TV, and movies are available but there is no cable.

Before my husband and I married, we dreamed up Asheville as a perfect home: hiking, laid back people, cooler temperatures with endless sun, thriving art scene, incredible local food movement and, of course, beer culture. In 2011, life dealt us the incredible gift of a professor position at UNC Asheville; we packed our family and drove from Tucson, AZ to these mountains. We are a young family who enjoys playing outdoors, cooking big meals, reading, drawing, writing, and telling stories. We remain in love with all that this region has to offer, and we pride ourselves for knowing about the great entertainment options happening around town (many of which are free). We look forward to hosting you in Asheville soon.
