Nestled in the valley between the awesome Bitterroot and Sapphire Mountain ranges you will find the perfect retreat in "Where Eagles Gather". Our home is located in the beautiful countryside eight miles southeast of quaint, historic Stevensville, Montana, "Where Montana Began."
As you drive up, you will notice the lovely landscaped grounds and entrance to the home. The residence, with a separate entrance, is attached to the main house. A deck provides a relaxing sitting area to drink your coffee. During the summer, take in the color of the surrounding flowers, view the hummingbirds at their feeder, and gaze at the mountains. Since, the hosts are professional artists and retired professors, original artwork by the hosts and other artists adorns the home.
Comfortable accommodations include two-bedrooms with log beds, one full bathroom between the bedrooms, a full kitchen, and laundry room. A full-size sofa bed even provides sleeping space for one adult or two children should additional room be needed. Up to two extra guests over four are allowed with advance notice. There is a $15.00 charge per night per each additional guest. This includes well behaved children of any age. Please include children in the guest count when making your reservation.
A fully remodeled kitchen with new appliances allows you to bring your food and create your own meals. Dishes, silverware, pots and pans, and cooking utensils, herbs and spices are provided. A barbecue grill is available just off the deck for those who like to grill. Don't want to cook? A list of the best restaurants in the 45-mile Bitterroot Valley will be provided.
The seven acres includes a barn, goats, a pond, and a garden during the summer. This is a working ranch so during the day guests may hear the cutting of wood, lawn tractors mowing the fields, or even the "noise" of goats in the fields.
PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, AIRBNB does not offer a line item for Hospitality tax. Payment of 7% Montana state plus $1.00 nightly (per occupied room) county tax will be required prior to your departure.

The beautiful Bitterroot River is legendary and known world wide for its exceptional fly fishing. The river at Bell Crossing is only two miles away. Not a fisherman? Are you an avid bird watcher? You will find a plethora of nesting birds from Yellow Headed Blackbirds to Swallows to Great Blue Heron around the pond. Bald Eagles, owls and other predatory birds also make this area home. Our guests often comment on the "Amazon Like" sounds they hear throughout the day and evening. The famous Lee Metcalf wildlife refuge is just north of Stevensville for more wildlife viewing. White-tailed deer are also frequent visitors to the area.
Located in a rural setting in the 75-mile long Bitterroot Valley, the locale provides a quiet, relaxing venue to get back to nature and away from all the hustle and bustle. The unique town of Stevensville, rich in history, is eight miles northwest. Should you want some “noise” and interaction in a more populated area, head north to the university town of Missoula. Just 35 miles away, most of the big-box stores are easily accessible along with art galleries, and a wonderful downtown area. Hamilton, the county seat and a 15 minute drive south, is a quaint town of about 18,000 with a super fun farmers' market on Saturdays during the Summer months and all the friendly main street activity you don't find in a large city.
Of course you will need your own vehicle. If you enjoy cycling, the valley sports a bike path from Missoula to Hamilton.
A land line is available for our guests to use for local calls.

Bruce and Beth moved to Montana from New Mexico just over three years ago. They find the Bitterroot Valley to be a beautiful place and the people very friendly and welcoming. They were blessed to be able to relocate in the country with acreage and a pond.
Bruce is a professional artist and taught in two different college settings for over 35 years before retiring twice! Beth was also employed in several positions at the same institutions before she joined Bruce in retirement just before moving to Montana.
Bruce and Beth both enjoy kite flying, creating large stained glass pieces, and entertain a myriad of other hobbies when time allows.
Hosting an Airbnb has been a desire of theirs for some time and they are now fulfilling that dream.
They have one 14-year old Alaskan Klee Kai.
