I was positively surprised by this lovely appartment: it was roomy enough ( we were with 5 grown ups ), very clean, well kept and comfortable. It fully matched with what it had promised in the advertisement. It was ideally located, very near the beach and also very close to a supermarket ( 2 minutes ) and other useful facilities. The communications with the owner, Victoria and her assistent Katja, ran like a swiss clockwork and even allowed for a late night swap of a key: they were very service oriented, which enhanced our enjoyment considerably of our stay. We missed a couple of ( in our eyes ) essential kitchen utensils and within a few hours they supplied us with them. The appartment was not to hot and street noise was very limited. Reasons enough to give full marks for all items that are mentioned in this questionnaire.
Unfortunately we were witness of the effects of that terrible scene on the 14 th of July which materialised on the Boulevard D'Anglais: we were planning to go and see the fireworks, but were not pressed and had a leisurely bite and played some game when at around 22:00 hours we heard a mysterious whooshing sound: this appeared to be masses of people running for their lives beneath our windows on the rue de La France. This flight lasted for over an hour! CNN must have been one of the networks which had themselves very quickly organised ( I think within 1/2 an hour after it started they were present ) and we spent the rest of the evening glued with our noses to the TV screen to evidence the autrocities taking place only 300 m from us. We felt safe in the anonomous housing block, especially when we discovered a very solid an elaborate locking system of the front door comprising of at leat 5 bolts. We were extremely blessed to have taken on a leisurely mode that evening and did not press for a timely arrival at the fireworks: which certainly would have made us potential victims of this horrendous deed. God bless.
Overall we greatly recommend this appartment and very lovely but now severly wounded town and inhabitants.
