Place It is vast. It is Wide. It's the desert, so of course it is! Just as promised, a sky full of stars was an accurate feature for this Airbnb. The camp where we stayed ( note that David moves from one place to another so the features of the camp base may vary) was near the Camel Ranch. There's the 'nature' restroom where you can hide behind the Rocky Mountains but if you are more keen to using a proper toilet, the ranch has got the facilities. There's also wifi there. Note that in the camping ground, wifi or 3g/4g may not work. It's okay to detach once in a while so that does you a favour. Bed/ Tent/ mattress etc I brought my own sleeping bag, if you want extra cushion or warmth ( if you're Travelling December/ winter time) I suggest you bring your own( zip up type including your head. David provides the mattress and if you specifically booked the option that offers your own private tent, I highly suggest you opt for that. Summer months, perhaps staying outside option is better though it's always nicer to get some privacy and also a little space where you can store your bags when you plan to hike around the area. Food This is probably one of the best parts. I love the bread. I was watching David make it and hoping I can recreate it in my city home( probably not possible) there's this awesome bread ( way better than any of those posh bruschetta bread you've ever tasted) that he cooks under the desert soil/ sand with coals. He then cooks Shakshouka ( (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) it) with funny options: sugar free and standard. Sharing this in front of a bonfire with people you've met for the first time is priceless. Communication David was very responsive. He is very practical and suggest that you just (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) or add on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN). It was easy and seamless. I also felt very welcomed once I reached the camp Safety Very safe. I know this may be a concern for some People and I can tell you it is despite the fact that you leave your stuff there in your tent or you are in the middle of the desert at night, I have not felt afraid or even worried when I was there. Repeatability I think anyone who had done it would definitely want to do it again! I know I would. Extra information : You need to inform David if there are activities( there may be fees) you want to do, otherwise you can freely go on your own. I took a Camel trip just to try ( 1 hour package) but it is highly recommended to try the 4-hour one, it's more promising.
