I love all animals especially cats. We have two cats called Sorcha and Orlaith. They are Maine Coons and are sisters. They are very cute and are great company for us. They love living here as do we...
I love food, especially eating my husband, Michael's cooking: whether it's Italian, Spanish, French, Thai, Cantonese or Indian - I love it all. He loves experimenting, fusing different cuisines and I love to provide critical tasting reviews of his gastronomic endeavours :-) His signature dish is 'Tuscany Beef' - delish!!!
I love 'Eighties' Music. and every year I attend the Rewind 80's Festival in Scone Palace. I even dress-up in 80's vintage costume to help me best relive the excitement and joy of that marvellous musical age.
Another passion of mine is Jazzercise. I manage a local class 2-nights a week and I also attend 1-2 other nights and sometimes even a Saturday morning ;-) It's such good fun and makes me to so happy and fit too - I highly recommend it for everyone.
We absolutely love walking locally. Never a weekend goes by without a walk. Where we live we can walk through some of our Glorious Glens or Fabulous Forests or Marvellous Mountains - such a soulful, relaxing and healthy pastime.
My favourite holiday ever was to San Francisco to celebrate an important birthday. It was a fantastic experience, a holiday of a lifetime - we seemed to do everything ... from a tour of the Napa Valley tasting the local intoxicating good produce, to reliving the lives of prisoners in Alcatraz, to walking across the iconic golden gate bridge (trying desperately hard not to look down the improvised drainage holes) and then absorbing the quiet oasis that is the Golden Gate Park to touring China Town and drinking tea for two hours followed by three hours of devouring Dim Sung.
My favourite book is 'The Time Traveler's Wife' by Audrey Niffenegger. The story is about Henry, who involuntarily travels through time, and Clare, the woman who loves him for almost her entire life. This beautiful love story draws me in and makes me want to go back and read parts of the novel again and again.
The song I love throughout most of my years is 'Father Figure' by George Michael. It is so passionate so haunting, so well written and so meaningful.
From powder-white snow, to crystal-clear seas, to golden brown beaches to the green green grasses of home I love to travel to explore to discover special destinations on holiday. Some where I can truly relax, get back to the real me, and let my Mojo shine.
We want our guests to feel our home is their home. We keep in touch with our guests before they arrive checking their understanding of directions to our home and making them aware of our locality and facilities. We offer support and guidance to help them make the most of their visit. We ensure a warm, and informative, welcome. We then, disappear and leave them to enjoy their time, albeit we are only a doorbell, text, call away should they ever need anything :-) I feel good if my guests have had a good time in our home.
Maybe, hopefully, we will see you soon :-)
