A traditional country home adequate for a large family looking for a genuine getaway very close to mother nature. Located inside a 12000 m2 estate, you can pick fresh oranges for breakfast, have some grapes for lunch and ride the horse to relax.
This place was our home for 16 years and we had a great time there. Grilling fresh fish on the outside grill and dining on the terrace, overlooking the north coast of the island, is an unforgettable memory, just as is laying on the terrace and watching the starry sky on a dark night or the full moon on a warm night!

When you're here this is your home. You can roam the grounds and pick any fruit you like, watch the beautiful birds, pet the dogs [not all] and ride the horse; I mean to say you can ride the mare, the stallion may prove a little to hard to handle.
Atención a los huéspedes
Although we have our jobs and are quite busy, we love to have visitors and show them around. You are welcome to join us on our usual family activities such as cookouts, sightseeing, trail walking and fishing from shore or on a small boat.
Otros aspectos destacables
This house is close to the road. The main bedroom is on the street side and it can be noisy with all the cars going by. The other two bedrooms are on the back, towards the garden, separated by two hallways, and are very quiet. If you are a light sleeper you should take this into consideration. The two single bedrooms are spacy and one of them has a pull out bed under the main bed. We could place another pull out bed on the other room and this way you could have 6 people staying comfortably. There is also a crib and we have car seat for babies or toddlers, so don't bother renting. Another thing we appreciated was fresh bread delivered every morning and we can easily set it up during your stay. You would only have to pay on check out. We can also arrange for cleaning services or anything else you may need. One last thing, this is a non smoking house, so do not smoke inside the house; thank you!
I was born in the next village, Santo Antonio, but I spent 15 great years in the USA where all my family lives and where I studied computer science. Moved back to the Azores to marry my wife, 20 years ago, and we have two beautiful kids: Mariana and Miguel. We love to be outside, take care of our 4 dogs, 2 horses, birds, etc. I really like to go fishing and I must admit I don't go as often as I should. Maybe that will change.
