Special villa with view to the fjord and forrests on the peaceful and family-friendly island of Nesøya, only 20 min from Oslo. Located in a quiet area without traffic on a hilltop with a lovely sunny garden (sun until 10 pm!). Enjoy Norway from its best side!
Our house has a special Tudor-inspired style and lies perfectly located on a hilltop on the lovely and very family-friendly island of Nesøya. The house is surrounded by a big, private garden without insight from the neighboring properties.
From our house there is a little path down to the closest sand beach. You can literally put on your swim suit and walk down to the beach. For a larger beach, bicyle to nearby Hvamodden public beach, where there is also a big meadow and a play ground.
The house is very spacious with four bedrooms, a large living room with dining area, a new kitchen, three bathrooms (one newly renovated in 2015), a library, a grand entrance hall and an additional multi-purpose room on the groundfloor (with an extra double-bed). Furthermore, there is a library and a grand-piano in the hall. In fall 2015, an indoor swimming pool was completed (12.5 meters long, 29 degrees warm), as well as an outdoor jacuzzi (with space for up to 8 people).
Disponible para huéspedes
Guests will have access to most everything, ranging from household items, to utilities (including the mandatory Norwegian waffle iron), to synthesizers, to toys, and even bicyles (2 for grown-ups, 2 for children). You can even use our towels (both for indoor and for the beach), if you wish.
Atención a los huéspedes
I am very willing to interact a lot with prospective guests in order for them to plan best possibly their stay. I can also be reached when I am not in Nesøya.
Otros aspectos destacables
Nesøya is the perfect place for a family holiday. There are lots of playgrounds, forrests to discover, hiking areas and lakes to discover. Furthermore, the neighboring island of Brønnøya is reached by cable-ferry and is the perfect spot for a walk or a picknick, while watching the busy boating life.
On Nesøya, there is a football court, tennis courts (indoor and outdoor) and a wide path for bicycling. And of course lots of sandy beaches!
There is a local grocery store, 5 minutes by foot from the house. For a larger selection, there is a supermarket just before you cross the bridge onto the island. And not to mention Ikea and Sandvika storsenter, one of Norway's largest shopping malls!
We wish to rent out our house to responsible grown-ups who are tidy and take good care of our personal belongings. We are looking for animal loving people who are experienced with taking care of cats.
At the other end of our house, with a separate entrance to her apartment, lives a lovely, elderly lady. She is very helpful and of no disturbance at all. She does not use our garden or parking space, so there is very little interaction, unless you wish for it yourself.
We are a Norwegian-Swiss family, with two daughters aged 6 and 9. Our kids go to close-by elementary school and enjoy growing up in such a safe and beautiful place. In winter, we go skiing and sledging, in summer we are at the beach, swimming in the fjord and sailing.
We moved to Nesøya from Oslo 2 years ago and enjoy this island a lot. In fact, there are people from Oslo who own a weekend house on Nesøya or the neighboring island of Brønnøya, so it certainly seems to be a popular place to relax and enjoy one's free time. We like that Nesøya is beautiful, surrounded by nature and yet so easily accessible and close to Oslo.
We grown-ups both work in down-town Oslo. My husband is a doctor, I am a lawyer. We speak English, German, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, French (basic) and Spanish (basic).
We are renting out our house while we are on a sailing vacation along the Southern coast of Norway and Sweden. Who knows, maybe we'll make it all the way to Denmark this summer. Hope for good winds!
