Phanthapha's place is just 5mins walk (500m) from the Exit 1 of Phahon Yothin MRT. Union Mall is on top of the station, and Central Lad Phrao is connected to Union Mall with sky bridge. Chatuchak market is just 2 MRT stations away (Kampheng Phet station). Dong Muang airport is 15 mins by cab and costs me 130 THB (due to a Kings Birthday/Father Day promo on GrabCar app which Phanthapha's staff helped me to arrange!). Overall, I think it has a SUPERB location for the last few days of shopping before catching flight via DM airport.
The room is exactly like the picture, a studio unit with small kitchen and bathroom en-suite, clean and cozy, complete with towels, toiletries, hair dryer, room slippers and she even provided few bottles of water. The only thing is that the bed is a little hard for me but there was a layer of thin mattress on top so I still could sleep well. There are some bugs probably due to having many trees in the compound, but this was not disturbing. It is located on second floor of a low rise 3-storey apartment block (no lift), which has a small massage centre (didn't get to try) which closes at 8pm, and a pretty cafe called "Little by Little" which serves nice Thai food at reasonable price, with Doi Chang coffee, Thai Tea Frappe etc.
There are also a lot of good food choices in the malls, and outside of PY BTS Exit 1, there is a small noodle shop which I enjoyed their Chicken Curry noodle costs only THB 57. There are also many food stalls at night along both sides of the main road which serves cheap street foods! Famous Joke Mallika is 2mins from PY BTS but they sold out before 11am. There is also a Talad Long Perm within walking distance but I did not get a chance to explore.
The place was a bit hard to find at first because the (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Map app did not function well, I got lost but a nice couple from nearby Condo fetched me there in their car! It is actually quite simple, at Exit 1 of PY MRT, turn right immediately into the first lane on your right, walk straight on until T-junction, turn right and follow the curve of the path to another junction, turn left and then take the first right turn and the white "Little by little" cafe is on your left before you reach St John's school. You will pass by some interesting old local shops and the apartment itself is interesting too.
Although I did not get to meet Phanthapha, she is responsive via app (her English is great), and her staff are friendly and accommodating too. Overall it is a great experience and I would definitely come back again! =)
