The decoration of the studio is great, and it's so nice having two decks. It's the quietest place I've stayed in Paris, and I've been there about 20 times (the preschool below seemed to be on summer break, though I love the sound of children's voices anyway). Jules is amazingly friendly, helpful and accommodating. He responded immediately to all my texts, even when one was at midnight! It was me and my two teenagers staying there, and it was definitely small for three, though we made it work. The only critique I would make was the pull-out bed was quite squeaky and it woke up my daughter when I got up in the morning. I loved sitting on the deck writing in my journal in the stillness of this little enclave of Paris. I was also impressed with the kindness of people in the neighborhood. One man noticed we were trying to find our way and stopped to ask if we needed help. It was a relief to get back home after the swarms of tourists at the sites (this was in July 2017, when security controls at every location made each place like going to the airport). Jules even told us a few different areas to check out the fireworks from on July 14. He was possibly the most laid-back, friendly French person I've ever met (and I've lived in France twice--no critique of the French here; they're just usually very private, especially in Paris and Normandy). Enjoy your stay!
We mostly loved this place. Jules himself is dynamite; friendly, entertaining, helpful, informative, and pretty darn good English. He met me in person, toured me around the neighborhood, and helped me buy groceries at the great natural foods store across the street. The apartment had everything we needed; a sofa bed, a Murphy bed, two balconies, shower, washer, dryer, kitchen, dishwasher, cute espresso maker. A little cluttered, but nothing the two of us couldn't work around. The neighborhood is great. Boulangeries, fromageries, patiserries, wine shops, the beautiful Square Batignolle, and two other great parks, Parc Martin Luthor King and a bigger one that's about a 15 min walk away. A walk from Montmartre and close to several metro stops. The only thing people should know (weirdly, not seen in other reviews) is that there's a kindergarten in the center of the building complex, so if you are sensitive to children's' voices and crying at 9am, this is not a great place for you. I recommend Jules' place, I'd stay here again, but if you are more than two people or can't handle kid voices @ 9am, it may not be the place for you.
We had everything we needed for the most part. The internet wasn't always accessible but everthing else was great. The apartment was clean and in a safe neighborhood. Very close to the Metro so made for very easy travel about the city. I will definitely look to stay at Jules' place again if I am looking for a place to stay while in Paris.
We would book Jules's place again if available. We had everything we needed and Jules responded to all of our questions and provided helpful transportation information. The pictures are a good reflection of the space, the neighborhood was friendly with convenient services, including two bakeries. The Metro was right down the street, could not of been easier. Great shower too!
This apartment is a 5 minute walk to the Guy Moquet Metro station (17th arrondissement) convenietly located for visiting all tourist attractions. There are plenty of bakeries, grocery stores, fromaggeries, restaurants and stores within a short walk of the apartment. The area is safe and lively with people at all times of the day and night. The street is located a short distance off the busier areas so it is quiet for sleeping at night. It is accessible to the airports by public transportation. The apartment is decorated with a chic boutique decor. Guests have access to washer and dryer, espresso machine, and the kichen with cooking and eating utensils. Pull out beds and pillows were very comfortable. Jules is extremely accessible for questions and recommendations. He greeted us upon arrival and gave us an extensive orientation of the apartment and the area. It was a warm welcome and a great start to our trip. I would highly recommend this rental and would return for my next visit.
