Wonderful two week stay during June 2016 in this bright and spacious apartment, everything is new and clean, the kitchen is well equipped and there is air conditioning in all rooms but we didn't need it as there is a nice breeze through the apartment with the windows open. The apartment is at the rear of the block and has a nice view of the hill behind the town, there is no traffic noise and at night everything was very quiet so we slept well. This really is a very good apartment and we were very happy with our choice.
Paola is also a very welcoming host, speaks very good English and is very good at explaining everything and replying to emails.
The apartment is perfectly situated on an upscale tree lined shopping street, there are two supermarkets nearby (Tigre opposite and a large Conad a few minutes walk out of town beyond the Town Hall), there are also bakeries, butchers, chemists, hairdressers, bars and coffee shops which creates a pleasant atmosphere and allows you to live like a local. It is an easy ten minute walk into the town centre for more shops and restaurants.
The beach and lungomare is just a few minutes walk away down the road opposite the apartment, there is a wide choice of stabilimento balneari with sun loungers at reasonable prices, the huge sandy beach never feels crowded and the water is clean and shallow.
A car is not necessary as there is a bus stop outside the apartment with town buses to the train station, tickets are available from the news stand across the road. The bus stop for Ascoli Piceno is a just few minutes walk away on the road behind the apartment, tickets are available from the tobacconist across the road from the apartment, buses run every half an hour. We did some day trips on the train to Loreto (then bus up the hill to the town), the pleasant hill town of Fermo (bus from Porto San Giorgio station) and the beautiful university town of Macerata (bus from Civitanova station). The train also runs to Ancona, Pesaro, Rimini, Bari and Bologna. We flew from London Heathrow to Bologna Airport and then took the train to San Benedetto.
