Located in the middle of Phong Nha village. The Jungle Boss Homestay is a great place to stay and experience the life of local people in Phong Nha. Join and see their daily life. Watch the water buffaloes passing the homestay all the time. The homestay is closed to the National Park and the caves, thus it is very easy to visit the caves and explore the national while staying in here.

Our homestay is based in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park 2 km from Son Trach and 45 km far from Dong Hoi city where all bus station, train station and airport are. The easiest and most comfortable way to get to us from Dong Hoi is to take a private car arranged by our homestay. By this way, you will be picked up on your arrival by our driver who will hold a sign with your name on it, thus you will easily recognize our driver. The private car will cost 600,000 VND and takes 45 minutes. The cheaper way is to hire a motorbike driver to drive you to Phong Nha if you don’t mind seating in he back of the motorbike for an hour. The motorbike should cost around 250,000 VND. Also, there are public buses which leave Dong Hoi city every hour starts at 5:00 a.m. The public bus costs 35,000 VND but take about 2 hours to get to Phong Nha.
From and to Hanoi
You can easily take the flight, bus or train to Dong Hoi. The night train is a good option as it is cheaper than the flight but comfortable. Soft sleeper train should costs around 700,000 VND. The buses called Hung Thanh travel, Camel, Queen which depart for Phong Nha everyday from Hanoi at around 6:00 p.m. These buses will arrive quite early at around 4:30 a.m. Vice versus, the buses will leave at about 9:30 p.m in Phong Nha for Hanoi
From and to Hue
Day train is a good choice if you want to see the landscape of the area between Hue and Quang Binh. To experience the Vietnamese local bus, please be at the Hue bus station before 11:30 a.m everyday for the bus to Phong Nha. The local bus names Phuc Vu which departs in Phong Nha for Hue at 5:00 a.m and Hue to Phong Nha at 11:30 a.m everyday. Or you also can jump on the open tour buses which depart in Hue at around 5:00 p.m for Phong Nha, estimated arrival time should be 9:00 p.m. If you ask for a private car from or to Hue, it will cost (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) VND.
From and to Danang or Hoian
Train departs everyday from Danang for Dong Hoi where you can choose the transport options above. There is also a local bus names Bao Vuong which departs for Phong Nha from Danang at 13:00 p.m everyday and leave Phong Nha for Danang at 5:00 a.m.The private car for Danang will cost (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) VND and (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) VND for Hoi An.
From and to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh city)
The best way is to take the flight with Vietnam airlines or Jetstar Pacific Airlines. It is about 1200 km from Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) to Quang Binh, thus train and bus will take about 24 hours. If you don’t mind about the time limit, train is also a good option for seeing the coast of Vietnam.

From DMZ, Dzung Le – the real name of Jungle Boss who has been living and working in Phong Nha for 7 years. Graduated from Hue university of foreign languages, Jungle Boss decided to move to Phong Nha-Ke Bang national park for his nature conservation job. Since moved to this village, Jungle Boss has been falling in love with the nature and the local people in this area, thus he decided to stay and work in this beautiful land. With unlimited passion on the nature, Jungle Boss had work for the Phong Nha-Ke Bang nature conservation project which was sponsored by Cologne Zoo and Frankfurt Zoological Society. The Jungle Boss name comes with his job as he used to do a lot of jungle patrols to check the National Park and its wildlife. After the project finished as the contract, Jungle Boss decided to work for Oxalis Adventure Tours to continue his jungle love and give a hand to improve local people’s life. During the time working as the operation manager at Oxalis, Jungle Boss has learned a lot about the ecological, sustainable tourism and local benefits. To start his own business and motivate the local people on having their own business, Jungle Boss has set up his own homestay and work with other local families to form the Phong Nha homestay community. Jungle Boss speaks fluently English and a jungle expert. He is willing to share with you the jungle experience and his life.
Huong is a local girl who has been spending most of her time in this small beautiful village. With a passion of a young woman to improve her life as well as local people’s, Huong decides to be a part of the Jungle Boss homestay to give the guests the knowledge about Phong Nha people and its culture. Huong is a good cook as many Vietnamese women. You will eat all the food at the homestay is cooked by Huong. Huong can not speak English well, but Jungle Boss will be very useful for the translation
Toni – the nickname of Bao Long – the son of Jungle Boss and Huong. Toni is 3 years old now. He is very friendly and love meeting with people. You will have a great time with Toni and teach him some English
