Great cabin in a great location. Plenty of silverware, pots and pans. Laundry room was an added bonus. Tons of great hiking and sight seeing in the area. As another reviewer stated, the road up to the cabin is a bit technical (steep and dirt), but my car (Hyundai Elantra) managed it just fine. Would probably have a rough time in the winter. Can't thank the owner enough, this was just the getaway I needed.

This was our first experience with Airbnb. The home and details we found exactly as presented. Really cute place for 2 adults, we were very comfortable. The narrow gravel road was fine in our Tahoe after we got use to the road. Loved the area and enjoyed the proximity of Hendersonville. Would definitely stay here again!

Great house, a little tight on space! But overall we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect place if you are looking for solitude and to be outside. I enjoyed our quick visit but we didn't have time to explore the house too much. As a side note- I'm not sure a low clearance car would make the drive up to the house.

This place is fantastic with one exception. It was unclear in the description that the house was one bedroom and a loft, as opposed to two bedrooms. We had planned to have our 18 month old sleep in his pack-n-play upstairs, but since that space was actually a loft with no door and no railing/barrier around the top of the stairs, it would have been unsafe to put him up there since he can climb out of his pack-n-play. This meant we had to put him in the master bedroom instead, which left us with the futons upstairs (night 1) or trying to sneak into his room, but causing him to wake up & cry off & on all night (night 2). The house would be the perfect place for a couple with either no kids or kids that are older, but it just wasn't a great fit in terms of sleeping arrangements for our current needs. Matthew was a great host though & the place really was great otherwise. Communication was prompt & clear, the fenced in area for our dog was great, the place was clean & had all amenities we needed, and was in such a lovely & convenient spot close to everything--so we still enjoyed our stay overall. So, parents with toddlers--probably not the best place for now. Everyone else--it's great!

This little hideaway is perfect for a couple or a couple with children. The upstairs is one open room with two futons and a desk and could technically sleep 4 small people on the full size futons. While small, the home comes well equipped and the master bedroom is very comfortable. The area is residential and very picturesque and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed having campfires at night and the sounds of nature. It is located within a couple of miles of a grocery store (Ingles) and there are restaurants within a few miles as well as in town in Hendersonville. Matthew is a wonderful host and provided a lot of great information about the area. If you have a chance to go, make sure to stop by The Charleston Inn in Hendersonville for dinner. It's fabulous!

Matthew's Peaceful Mountain Hideout was everything we wanted for our relaxing vacation spot. We loved this quiet place nestled in the woods where we could get some porch sitting in, sleep peacefully at night, enjoy comfortable and clean accommodations, make our own meals, and yet still be close enough to the surrounding towns, sights, and all that Asheville (about 37 minutes away) has to offer. His place is dog friendly with a fenced in pet area too! Matthew is very easy to communicate with and he had plenty of materials to get you acquainted with the area. We loved staying here and look forward to coming back one day!
