Simply it was clean, quiet and friendly. The place was clean because Roni kept it clean by making sure the dishes were cleaned in a timely way and the kitchen sink free of dishes as well as mopping all floors weekly including my room. It was quiet which meant, along with a decent bed, I was able to sleep. There was no television nor disturbing video gaming. This was most appreciated on Shabbat, which we were able to celebrate together with meals. I had permission to use the washer/dryer and more importantly I had permission to cook. This is very important to me since I am on a low salt/no salt diet and cook most of my own food. Having a kosher kitchen was a big plus. And the building had an elevator.
