Villa Olive Tree is the ideal destination for nature lovers – set in a forest of pine trees in the lush green village of Islamlar

The views from each window of the villa are beautiful and make this home special Both woodpeckers and red squirrels are frequent visitors to the garden as well as swallows and other native birds.

Islamlar offers a milder climate than Kalkan. The air is clean and fresh and the area is peaceful and safe.

We cultivate our own grapes here at the villa and we will happily leave you our home made wine – both red and white as a welcome gift.

Kalkan is just 8km away and here you can enjoy the facilities of the town or the beach.

In Islamlar Village itself you can experience an authentic taste of Turkey. A host of fresh trout farms have opened up in the village and it's possible to enjoy the freshest, most delicious, organic food you will ever taste, within just a few minutes of the villa.

Whatever you holiday preferences - history, nature, walking, Turkish culture or Turkish cuisine, İslamlar Village has it all.

We look forward to welcoming you to Villa Olive Tree and are sure that once you have visited us here in Islamlar you will want to return again.

Beautiful villa up in the hills of Islamlar. It is in a beautiful location, nestled in the trees up on the mountainside, with the birds singing in the trees. We walked to the small village of Islamlar for a couple of dinners, and highly recommend to include this in anyone's visit, as its only about 10 minutes away down the hill (headlamp always helpful to see your way back). We dined at Chops which had a wonderful ambience, and Terrace restaurant which had a sight all the way to the water down in the bay of Kalkan. We spent a lot of time outside around the infinity pool and on the large patio that extends around the other side of the villa to include a large swing chair and full sized eating area, and would have spent more time if we had it! The drive to Patara beach & ruins and Kalkan town are not far at all, and Kas the beautiful greek-inspired seaside village is also not far away along the coastal road. We truly enjoyed our stay. the experience of staying in Islamlar was great and won't be forgotten. One thing to note is that the villa is not as close to Kalkan as indicated on Airbnb (seems to be an approximate location), which made it very necessary to be escorted there at least for the first time. After that, it was very easy to find!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Duru Villa. We are lucky to live in such a beautiful location. Villa Duru is located in Islamlar a small village nestled in the mountain above Kalkan itself. Its is a 10 minute drive down into Kalkan. As for address, this is normal for village properties in Turkey, no address is exact! The joy of Islamlar is it is close enough to Kalkan to enjoy all its attractions whilst holidaying in a peaceful, country environment which still offers within walking distance. If you re-visit the area at any time we hope you chose to stay with us again.

I have been living in Kalkan for twenty years with my family.

I like reading, learning new things, keeping up with technology, visiting new places and trying different food. Strangely I enjoy rain more than I enjoy sunshine. Spring and Autumn are my favourite seasons.

I listen to a range of music, from classical to metal. My favourite band has been MUSE for some years and still is. I still enjoy listening to Scorpions, Queen, Michael Franks, Tchaikovsky, Paganini, Rahmaninov, Smetana, Pavarotti...

Being Turkish, I love Turkish food. I didn't try many others, but from what I have tried, I like Middle Eastern countries food, Chinese, Italian, Thai food, and some British food. Specially homemade steak and kidney pie.

I like reading different type of books. I want to know what is going on in my country and in other countries. In winter I read some serious books but in summer, I mostly read light books. sometimes I read self-teaching books. I am so interested in how human beings started to be on the earth, so I read Richard Leakey. One of my favorite science person/author is Richard Dawkins.

I like watching some tv series. Some of them are, Agents of Shield, Da Vinci's Demons, Fresh off the Boat, Grace and Frankie, Modern Family, NCIS, Orphan Black, Perception, Person of Interest, Suits, The 100, The Big Bang Theory, The Blacklist, White Collar.

I love visiting places vey much, but I am afraid I have been able to visit only a few. I have been to the UK many times, once Republic of Ireland, once Switzerland, once Serbia. I would like to all of the countries if I am given the chance. I prefer to see small villages, countrysides of the countries.

I am trying to spend my life on earth as best as I can.
