Our 3 bedroom home is backed by forest covered hills and is located just 5 miles from downtown Traverse City, about a 10 minute drive. Escape into nature or explore TC! Best of both worlds!
Our 3 bedroom house includes a master bedroom with a king bed and two other bedrooms each with a queen bed. We can also provide a queen blow up mattress that fits nicely on the king bedroom floor, please let us know if you will be needing it.
The home has a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with flatscreen TV and DVD player, a full bathroom and a half bathroom (half bathroom has a standing shower), a finished basement with a game room and TV. It also has a large patio backed by forested hills with outdoor seating and a grill.
The woods behind the house are wonderful for summer hiking or winter snow shoeing down hilly trails. It's likely you might bump into a small family of deer. It's also a foragers paradise with morel mushrooms and wild leeks in the spring, raspberries, strawberries, grapes and more during the summer. The woods are also enjoyable in the winter, a snowy winter wonderland!
The house is located on a quiet street with very infrequent traffic, making it an excellent quiet retreat from the noise of the city. However, if you are drawn to what the city has to offer, downtown Traverse City is a short 10 minute drive or 25 minute bike ride away.
The TART trail is a paved biking trail between Traverse City and Suttons Bay. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes downhill to get to the TART trail by bike, then you're on your way; 15 miles to Suttons Bay, or 5 miles to Traverse City. This trail is wonderful for winter sports as well including cross country skiing. If you want to enjoy the sandy beaches of Northern Michigan, Lake Michigan, West Bay Beaches are just 2 miles away.

Five things I can't live without are holistically grown and raised healthy and delicious food, good quality chocolate, the peaceful outdoors, friends, and family.
My favorite travel destinations are Honduras, Nepal, Italy, and Greece. My favorite books are any about holistic health. My favorite movies are Forrest Gump, The Notebook, The Lion King, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and The Guru. I enjoy popular music as well as jazz, and classical. My favorite foods are sushi or any seafood, good quality pizza, and paleo desserts!
My style of traveling includes being able to explore the location and experience the culture. I enjoy seeing the tourist attractions, but I also love relaxing in a new location and trying to experience the culture and typical food.
