Good location close to many sight seeing spots. Rustic building well preserved and characteristic of the area. Rooms are very clean and tidy and breakfast was very good. There's a nice garden with a small swimming pool and it's also possible to dine at the b&b agriturismo. Personnel was very professional and welcoming. I totally recommend!

I don't know when I will stop telling people about how much I enjoyed my stay at Giulia's B&B. I found it on a map looking for a place to stay halfway between Rome and Bari...I will never regret it! The grounds are beautiful, I woke up to watch the sunrise over the valley of vineyards and olive trees to hear a chorus of roosters crowing. Dinner is really really good, and it was nice to see a homecooked meal in contrast to all the restaurants on my trip. The wine they make is delicious too :) The rooms are better than modest given the A/C and nice bathrooms/shower... Better than some of the Masserias that I stayed at on my trip. Great place, stay here!!

Met all my expectations, a quiet, clean and charming B&B in the Abruzzo mountains. Gracious hosts and good espresso, what else can you ask for?

Everything about my experience with Giulia at Manoppello Scalo was positive and as advertised. My room was clean, comfortable and truly a Camera con Vista (a room with a view). I looked out over the sweeping vineyards and olive groves of this working farm, across to the Majella mountains and Monte Morrone. Just spectacular. You can see the old village of Manoppello climbing up the hill opposite. From the moment you arrive Giulia enquires as to your needs and desires while visiting the area. She has maps and guides and knows about the area's attractions and day trips achievable by car . A car is most convenient as the BnB is amongst farms and truly off the beaten track. I participated in an on site cooking class where we made some traditional sweet and savoury foods then we got to make pasta using the 'chitarra', a stringed kitchen tool so named because, when plucked the sound resembles a guitar (chitarra in Italian). This is an Abruzzo specialty. Giulia is an excellent teacher and works side-by-side with her lovely and skilled mother-in-law Francesca. The property has a beautiful old dining room and plenty of outdoor seating areas, both under cover and out on the sunny lawn. One day under the verandah we enjoyed a long table lunch with other guests and some of Giulia's lovely family. I would highly recommend this BnB for the beauty of the area, the cooking class opportunities, the individual attention and because the host, Giulia, is so gracious and genuine. Brava!

Giulia is a great host, cute and cozy . The rooms are comfortable, clean and with air conditioning. The location meets the description, is a beautiful country house in the countryside. In two words: competence and simplicity . Strongly reccomended.

My name is Giulia Scappaticcio, I am 41 years old and I live in a beautiful Country House in Abruzzo together with my husband Gianluca and our 3 kids. We love hosting people from all over the world to make people enjoy Abruzzo country living. My husband and I inherited the old house (about 1800) in the country from nonni Celeste and Giovanni ten years ago so we restored to live in with our family and host tourists visiting the area. The Country House is close to the Majella National Park and Adriathic sea, old villages and beautiful Abbeys. We have got 4 rooms each with private bathroom, between single room and rooms for 3 people and 1 country suite for 2 to 4/5 people. We use to cook for our guests using tradditional recipes from our grandmothers. We also provide very nice Garden to Table Cooking Classes in English/Italian.
Our b&b is usually open to our guests from March to October and December on reservation.

There will be soon online my Blog. Scappainabruzzo means our Life in a Country House (B&B, Home Made food , Cooking Classes) and my love for Abruzzo. So come exploring our amazing territory and Enjoy with us our Life in Abruzzo.
