Acerca de este anuncio
You are literally steps away from a St. Charles streetcar stop, and during Carnival, you have a front row seat to the Uptown Mardi Gras parades. Mine is a quiet, safe and friendly neighborhood, with 90 percent of the surrounding homes owner-occupied. Antiques and clothing stores, casual/fancy restaurants and bars along trendy Magazine St. are all within walking distance. Private security 24/7; owners live on-site.
Most important rule: Make yourself at home and pass a good time!
Stay in the heart of Uptown New Orleans and live like a native. My house was built circa 1890s, originally a small plantation, and the space you will be staying in was built as the servants' quarters/stable, and then became what is called a "mother-in-law's cottage." During the last renovation, the insulation between floors was clearly skimped on. As a result, you can hear my brother's footsteps in his apartment overhead, but no loud voices or music. I've never had any complaints from guests about this, but I do like to mention it.
Your furniture suite is from the popular "waterfall" style/series, manufactured from 1920 to 1940. It belonged to my grandparents, and is very unique. The bed is a comfortably-sized double bed, circa 1942(URL HIDDEN)You are located exactly 1 block from a St. Charles Avenue regular trolley stop, and 4 blocks from trendy Magazine Street, with its unique and diverse blend of popular restaurants, boutiques and antique shops. Audubon Park and the French Quarter are equidistant trolley stops away, as well as shuttles to the Jazz Fest. You can also reach the world-famous WWII Museum by trolley, which should not be missed.
Whole Foods, Fresh Market, Martin's Wine Cellar and the Prytania Wine Cellar are also within walking distance, along with grocery stores, beauty salons and drugstores. You'll feel like a native once you settle into my cozy place and start exploring the neighborhood.
I work very, very hard to please and pamper my guests and make them feel welcome. The apartment is cleaned top to bottom between each guest, and I assure you your environment will be sparkling clean and sanitary, top to bottom. I treat my guests with TLC - tender loving care - and I am proud of my reviews and status as "Superhost."
Please check out what other guests have had to say, then book my place with confidence. I promise you I will go over and above to make sure you're happy with me.

Atención a los huéspedes
Homeowners live on-site, but the entrance to the apartment is private and opens directly to the street. I genuinely enjoy meeting my guests, and like to greet you when you arrive and show you around. Afterwards, there is no need to mingle or interact with my brother and I unless you want to, but please remember we are always immediately available for you if you need us. So if, God forbid, there is an emergency, my brother and I will be right there. Please note: hangovers are NOT considered an emergency, especially during Mardi Gras; however, I will be happy to make a junk food run for you if you or your companion get carried away one night!

I have a beautiful front yard filled with flowers and shrubs, and a cozy front porch adorned with tropical plants, along with two rocking chairs and a glider. I'm happy to share with my guests, so if you feel the need to sit and "people watch" a while, just let me know and you can come on up. If I'm not home, no problem. You're welcome to enjoy.
On a more banal point, there is a plumber's helper and fire extinguisher in the hall closet. DO NOT wait for me to use either one ;)
All of the Uptown parades roll one block away, so guests during Carnival will have a front-row seat to the "Greatest free show on Earth." It shouldn't be missed!

I love dogs - big ones, little ones, medium ones; I've had 4 Shih-Tzus and a pound puppy during my life, so I'm well aware of the kind of destruction they are capable of, as well as the absolute love and joy they add to your life.

I'm a working co-owner of a freelance court reporting firm here in New Orleans. Love working in my yard, love reading and movies, THE SAINTS, and I sure do love the fabulous food and wine so prevalent here in The Big Easy. I never thought I would enjoy hosting as much as I have, but I've met some of the kindest, funniest, most interesting people through AirBnb, and I just adore getting to know my guests. If only for a little while.
