We loved this house. It was clean, quaint, well equipped (especially kitchen and kitchen supplies) and we loved the decor. It was very comfortable, and we wished we could have stayed longer. We also loved the use of the fire pit, and the home's proximity to Sandbanks Provincial Park. Michele was very prompt in all of her responses and very accommodating to our requests. It was a pleasure staying here, and we can't wait to come back next year for a longer stay

My friends and I rented Michele's place for a one night stay after a Prince Edward County Wine Tour, and to celebrate a friends bachelorette. We rented the house as well as the apartment in the back. Unfortunately it rained on our stay so we were unable to use the deck and bonfire or check out Sandbanks, which we were looking forward to. Nevertheless we still had a great time as we had a BBQ, and drinks and games inside. The kitchen is beautiful and the best stocked kitchen I have ever seen in an airbnb. You have literally everything you could possibly need. The farmhouse has beautiful furniture and we would have loved some of those same pieces in our own homes. Some other furniture was showing wear and tear like the couch, and some rips in the ottoman and one dining chair. But otherwise this house is very well maintained. You are able to control the temperature. On the cold rainy night we used the baseboard heaters as well as the lovely pellet stove which kept the house very warm. As the heat rose, the top floor actually got pretty hot so you have to be careful. Michele has everything brilliantly labeled so you know where the lights, heaters, and all other switches are; as well as labels for what is in some of the drawers and cupboards. It definitely helped us navigate the house. The beds were very comfortable, all the girls remarked on this. The top floor is quite small, and the stairs up are steep. But we did not find it cramped and it perfectly suited our needs for the night. Communication with Michele was very easy. She was kind enough to allow us to park at the airbnb prior to check in so that we were able to use the airbnb as our pick up location for the wine tour with Sandbanks Vacations. She also allowed us a later check out which was much appreciated. Normally you are asked to bring your own bedding and towels. We asked Michele to supply both since we were coming from out of town, and that was not a problem. Unfortunately however, we did not have any bath towels, and we did not realize it until the morning. Michele did check in on us after we checked in, so I am sure if we had noticed there were no towels, the situation would have been rectified. But, since we didn't, we were unable to shower in the morning which was an inconvenience. It was definitely a negative considering the price we paid and it affects the value overall. All in all, we had fun but wish we could have enjoyed more of the amenities had the weather been nicer. I would consider staying again.

Everything was just as promised! Adorable little house with a beautiful kitchen, lots of outdoor space and an awesome outdoor shower. Michele was very accessible and was kind enough to provide bed linens when asked. I would absolutely return and would recommend to friends. Thank you :)

The photos are extremely misleading. If you are looking for a clean place, this is not it. There were crumbs on the beds, the mattresses had stains all over and we couldn't even sit on any of the outdoor furniture because of this. The kitchen and living room smelled really bad. I understand it was a cabin a forest but wasn't expecting the endless number of files inside the house. When we called the host for help, she was quick to answer but we only received explanations as to why it was dirty. No one came to fix it.

Respuesta de Michele:
Neil ,firstly I have had many many guests for years and this is the first upset review. Someone had dropped a bag of crackers and the residue was cleaned up. Maybe some got left behind in the rush between check ins. I checked in after you and found 5 pieces on cracker. We do our best and apologize. The outdoor beds get left out in the rain by guests that do not cover them properly and yes they are stained. You had left a whole bunch of pillows out as well and it pourred with rain and they all got spoiled so we are not a hotel with staff. Guests are expected to take care of the place as they would their own home. Leave it like you found it. We have a cupboard full of sheets to put on the daybeds if you use them. We now have matching blankets too for the daybeds that guests can spread out if they want them and use the outdoor daybeds. When I got there I saw 5 house flies. I killed them all and then 2 hours later I saw 2 more. We are surrounded by farmland for miles and miles. I don't think that it is realistic to expect there to be no flies in a farmhouse in the country. We have a fly swatter and we do our best again with trying to make everything nice for guests. We never wish to disappoint anyone. Feed back is appreciated but not really in this manner.

Michele has a lovely place. The location is fantastic right next to sandbanks. The house itself is cute and cozy and has everything you need in the kitchen. We had a campfire in the yard at night, easy to buy wood right next door. Great spot for our girls winery weekend!
