This cozy cabin is located in a secluded part of Sequoia National Park, just four short miles away from the "hidden gem" of the Mineral King Valley. Mineral King proves both majestic and private, and offers a host of hiking trails, fishing, and backcountry access.

While the cabin is located within Sequoia National Park, on the Southern end, it is not close to the General Sherman Tree grouping. It is about a 2 hour drive from the main entrance of the park, and thus the General Sherman tree. There are, however, Giant Sequoia trees in the Mineral King/Silver City area, and they can be seen just by walking around Atwell Mill.

The uncrowded proximity to the Sierra Nevada with hiking trails leading to meadows, natural and man-made lakes, and the wild back-country is what makes this place special. I wish I could express how majestic, and beautiful this part of the Park is. I've heard it referred to as the "True Sequoia."

The cabin itself is light, cozy, and comfortable, and the space really allows guests enjoy the beauty of the Sierra Nevada. The large porch features a big picnic table, chairs, and a queen sized bed perfect for afternoon naps. In addition, there is a large campfire and plenty of camp chairs to accommodate a crowd. The interior of the cabin features two rooms: one with a king sized bed and a twin, and one with a twin and a bunk bed.

Also, the large living/dining space has a queen sized bed set in the alcove. The cabin has a full bath, a full kitchen, a fridge, a propane heater, bright propane wall lights, and a couch facing the hearth. (Please note that there is no "conventional" electricity. However, all of the appliances, heaters, and lights runs off of propane very well.)

We loved the cabin. Very clean & close to Silver City. I couldn't believe how quiet & peaceful it was. The only thing that surprised me was that there was no electricity, everything was run by propane gas., Luckily my husband & son figured out how to use the mantels properly. Ultimately the lack of electricity really contributed to the pleasantness of the cabin. It was a wonderful experience,.

This was a great experience for our family! The Cabin was great, it is tucked in a small community of cabins, but privacy did not seem to be an issue. The people in the area are very friendly even though at times you seem to be the only ones in the area. It is a very quiet neighborhood, as one would expect from a mountain community. The road is a very windy road to reach the cabin, but once you are there it is worth every turn. I have a large family and was concerned the cabin would be too small but it fit everyone very well. The cabin had plenty of things to keep us busy while in it. (books, games, fire pit, BBQ, and even a comfy bed to lay outside on and watch the surrounding area) Molly was very helpful from the day we booked the cabin to the weekend of our stay. She was always available to answer questions about the area and what we needed to bring to make sure we didn't have to go up and down the mountain for supplies. Overall we had a great stay. Thank you very much!

Molly was more then accommodating with my larger group for the 4th of July weekend. She was very communicative and gave me a lot of useful information about the space and the area that helped plan ahead. The cabin was a perfect combination of experiencing the outdoors and having the conveniences of a kitchen, shower etc.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The area is secluded and the surrounding landscape impressive. The cabin was cozy and everything was explained clearly. Great place to relax. Thanks Molly!
