Nestled in a secluded part of Sequoia National Park, this cabin is located a short 4 miles from the subalpine Mineral King Valley. Perfect for the adventurer, the avid outdoorsman, or simply if you are looking for some peace and quiet.Willing to sell
This cozy cabin is located in a secluded part of Sequoia National Park, just four short miles away from the "hidden gem" of the Mineral King Valley. Mineral King proves both majestic and private, and offers a host of hiking trails, fishing, and backcountry access.
While the cabin is located within Sequoia National Park, on the Southern end, it is not close to the General Sherman Tree grouping. It is about a 2 hour drive from the main entrance of the park, and thus the General Sherman tree. There are, however, Giant Sequoia trees in the Mineral King/Silver City area, and they can be seen just by walking around Atwell Mill.
The uncrowded proximity to the Sierra Nevada with hiking trails leading to meadows, natural and man-made lakes, and the wild back-country is what makes this place special. I wish I could express how majestic, and beautiful this part of the Park is. I've heard it referred to as the "True Sequoia."
The cabin itself is light, cozy, and comfortable, and the space really allows guests enjoy the beauty of the Sierra Nevada. The large porch features a big picnic table, chairs, and a queen sized bed perfect for afternoon naps. In addition, there is a large campfire and plenty of camp chairs to accommodate a crowd. The interior of the cabin features two rooms: one with a king sized bed and a twin, and one with a twin and a bunk bed.
Also, the large living/dining space has a queen sized bed set in the alcove. The cabin has a full bath, a full kitchen, a fridge, a propane heater, bright propane wall lights, and a couch facing the hearth. (Please note that there is no "conventional" electricity. However, all of the appliances, heaters, and lights runs off of propane very well.)
