Gather fresh local produce, BBQ by the pool, dine under the stars, wake to warm fresh mornings with the sounds of surf breaking on the reef 200m away-experience it here, at our beautiful, clean & amazingly affordable paradise- Ariana Garden Bungalows.
Relax & respect others around you regarding noise levels-we have local families as neighbours.
The pool is open 24 hours except when undergoing dosing & maintenance.
Smoking outdoors only.
We have a neighbourhood friendly dog (Taxi is his name) who believes he must oversee our property as well as check out our guests!
We have chickens & roosters that come & go freely at their leisure. They do a tremendous job at keeping the insect population down and sometimes sing a lot!
Ear plugs might be a good idea if you're a light sleeper.
1 resident cat is on board-her name is Boots.
Our dear elderly cat "Peanuts" bless her, has passed over-we miss her....
The usual tropical insects exist.
Common to our Island are Mokos or Geckos-small lizard type creatures- they're great for catching mosquitos. (harmless)
No snakes on our Island.

Hi and Kia Orana (The Cook Island greeting.)
We're Kylie & Marshall, your onsite managers-well almost-we live right next door!
We're outgoing, fun and relaxed at our small paradise in Rarotonga.
We're also hard working & dedicated to maintaining Ariana Garden Bungalows with its beautiful grounds and immaculately clean & airy units/small houses for your use & enjoyment.
We're on the property every day seeing to all those bits & bobs and to assist you (if required).
We've travelled in the past, hope to travel more in the future and have experienced many different places around the world and know first-hand the value of good positive accommodation and welcoming hosts.
We'd love the opportunity to share, all that our beautiful place has to offer.
I'm half Cook Island (Mum's side) & half New Zealander.
My parents met & got married in Rarotonga and had 6 children.
They moved back to NZ and had 6 more children-I was one of those!
So a total of 12 in my family-Wow!!
I have travelled to & from Rarotonga since the early 90's and finally moved here to live with my partner Kylie, in January 2010. This is our 5th year living in Rarotonga.
I love waking up to warm mornings (even when it rains) and that sensation of being free of the hustle & bustle that had settled on me while living in NZ-that rat race-everywhere I suppose BUT here in Raro it just seems to melt away into the Pacific Ocean.
I've taken up golf here, I'm also a keen surfer, enjoy our Island, the friends I've made and learning my culture & traditions.
I'm pretty good at weaving now (self-taught while here).
I use coconut leaves to make woven baskets to be used in our umu (earth oven cooking).
I enjoy cooking the umu, especially when guests are interested and also want to learn our local ways.
I like the simplicity of Raro, the carefree atmosphere, the sense of community, the incredible fresh tuna, the local produce and just love my Nu drink every morning-fresh from our own coconut trees-you just can't beat it.
I'm into lots of fun and music. I’ve learnt to play the ukulele here and often you'll hear me from my deck serenading into the early evenings-join in-give it a go.
I'm NZ born with some Italian blood in the mix, specifically from the island of Stromboli, north of Sicily.
I'm your typically, calm, unassuming and un-explosive NZ/Italian host coupled with 5 wonderful years of living in Rarotonga embracing the cultural rhythms as part of my own.
I just simply love it here!
There's so much to love-the dance, the climate, the people, the food, the drums, the job - all culminating into a wonderful lifestyle of simplicity & peacefulness.
I love to dance myself!
I love watching dance & I've been to probably all the performances, some several times over!
I enjoy eating out & trying out the new venues.
I enjoy meeting people from all walks & corners of the world.
I've done the walks & treks around the island and have been with numerous guests on the "cross Island walk"- great way to see the mountain interiors and views, back out towards the ocean.
The Saturday markets are terrific for local produce.
My favourite stall sells spirulina tropical fresh fruit smoothies-just so yummy!
I enjoy relaxing, especially in the evenings, with a nice wine & good music or a good book or a game of cards whenever anyone's in the mood!
Seek me out & I'll be dealing the cards in a flash!
Games I like-Fun is good.
