3-bedroom cottage sits atop the ancient "Bolus Head", an iconic mountain steeped in Irish history. A 5-minute walk from the house to the top of the hillside offers an incredible view of the Skellig Islands and St. Finian's Bay.
Perfect for those in search of adventure, peaceful relaxation, or even a bit of both!
Skellig Island boat tour can be found less than 10 minutes away at Reen Pier, or 25 mins away from Portmagee pier.
/// Room 1: Two single beds ///
Room 2: Two single beds ///
Room 3: Master loft with king bed ///
Also 2 spare single beds in the "laundry" room, can be turned into a 4th bedroom very easily.
The house is 20 mins from Caherciveen, 10 mins from Waterville and 5 minutes from Ballinskelligs beach. There are many little cafes & pub surrounding the beach, and if you or your children are into swimming or any other watersports this is a fantastic beach. This area is steeped in Irish tradition and is even one of the few remaining places that Irish is spoken!
If you want to experience the real Irish countryside, walk among the sheep, sit down on the green earth, lean your back against ancient walls ,walk the mountains, visit standing stones or other sacred sites or simply have a great time exploring fishing, golf, etc there is no better place. This is a walker's and hiker's paradise, with the famous "Bolus Loop Walk" trail just 5 mins away. (Voted best walking trail on the Wild Atlantic Way)
Bolus Head is a UNESCO Heritage site and is also a dark sky reserve, the only Gold Tier reserve in the northern hemisphere and 1 of only 3 in the world.
We hope to see you here soon, and as we say here in Ireland: sláinte!
