The school was built in 1912 and was used as a school until 1960. Grades first through eighth were all together in this one room, approximately fifteen total. The people who settled in this area were Welsh, from Wales. The first teacher at the school was Eulalia Richards and she received as little as forty dollars a month to teach. The surrounding children REALLY did walk two to three miles to get here.
