Set in the stunning Laikipia region, in the foothills of Mount Kenya, lies an authentic farmstead, Olepangi Farm, home of GoWild Africa safaris, which provides horse-riding, walking and driving safaris into the Lolldaiga Hills. Our farm is 120 acres bordering millions of acres of wildlife conservancies with beautiful views in all directions. This area is considered by many to be the most beautiful in the whole of Kenya, with breath-taking scenery and abundant wildlife and best of all, very few tourists due to its historic isolation. Our farm is the perfect base from which to explore the whole region. Climb Mt Kenya, take a day trip into Samburu National Park or over to Ol Pejeta, take quad bikes into Ngare Ndare Forest or just walk the canopy above the trees or swim in the blue mountain pools. We also offer day rides from the farm on one of our well-schooled and responsive safari horses, some suitable for nervous riders and some with a bit more bounce ready for the odd jump on the farm.
We have 5 beautifully appointed guest cottages sleeping up to 10 adults and various children. We also have comfortable overflow tents for larger parties.
Our lodge is family hosted and all meals are included. We also include wine, beer and an evening sundowner. Cocktails and premium spirits are available at extra costs. We also offer reasonably priced massages.
The farm is not suitable for children 6 and under. Children (7-11) are $130 per night, Teens (12-18) are $150 per night.
Please talk to us about long-term stays. We have guests from around the world who come and stay for weeks and months . . . writers, painters, world travellers . . . we are an easy place "to be" . . . peaceful and quiet, yet always something happening on the farm . . . learn to ride a horse, get involved in the community, teach at the local school, plant trees . . . endless. Come as a guest and leave as a friend.

In addition to our popular homestays, we run walking, driving and horse-riding safaris into the beautiful Loldaiga Hills Ranch. We tailor rides to the ability of the group but do require guests to be completely comfortable in all paces. We also welcome non riders and have both walking and 4x4 safari options. Game drives are taken in an open sided Landcruiser and walk are always accompanied by and armed ranger.
This magic, forgotten land awaits you. Ride, walk and drive amongst herds of zebra, impala, eland, gazelles and hartebeest. Come almost within touching distance of the many reticulated giraffe and slowly approach a herd of elephant or buffalo. Witness the rock art of the ancient peoples and, if you are really lucky, you may even stumble upon a pride of lion or track down a leopard, even find wild dogs out hunting! The horses are mostly a mix of thoroughbreds and polo ponies with a couple of local breeds thrown in for good measure, all responsive and good-natured as well as sure-footed and accustomed to game. Both set-date flycamps within the reserve and farm stays at the ranch are available so there really is something for everybody; if you want to do the safari but do not want to camp it is also possible to stay at the Lolldaiga Farmhouse within the reserve. With a maximum group size of 8 the atmosphere is personal and the hosting genuinely welcoming.
