Boutique farmstay with five double cottages. The perfect location to explore Kenya whether climbing Mt Kenya, swimming in the Ngare Ndare forest, visiting wildlife conservancies or horse riding. Price includes all meals, beer, wine, local spirits.

El lugar

We are a boutique farmstay with 5 beautifully decorated cottages (cabins) that sleep 10 adults and various children. The price shown is per person per night sharing and is inclusive of all meals, beer, wine, local spirits. Please ask about our special rates for children 7 and above.

Set in the stunning Laikipia region, in the foothills of Mount Kenya, lies an authentic farmstead, Olepangi Farm, home of GoWild Africa safaris, which provides horse-riding, walking and driving safaris into the Lolldaiga Hills. Our farm is 120 acres bordering millions of acres of wildlife conservancies with beautiful views in all directions. This area is considered by many to be the most beautiful in the whole of Kenya, with breath-taking scenery and abundant wildlife and best of all, very few tourists due to its historic isolation. Our farm is the perfect base from which to explore the whole region. Climb Mt Kenya, take a day trip into Samburu National Park or over to Ol Pejeta, take quad bikes into Ngare Ndare Forest or just walk the canopy above the trees or swim in the blue mountain pools. We also offer day rides from the farm on one of our well-schooled and responsive safari horses, some suitable for nervous riders and some with a bit more bounce ready for the odd jump on the farm.

We have 5 beautifully appointed guest cottages sleeping up to 10 adults and various children. We also have comfortable overflow tents for larger parties.

Our lodge is family hosted and all meals are included. We also include wine, beer and an evening sundowner. Cocktails and premium spirits are available at extra costs. We also offer reasonably priced massages.

The farm is not suitable for children 6 and under. Children (7-11) are $130 per night, Teens (12-18) are $150 per night.

Please talk to us about long-term stays. We have guests from around the world who come and stay for weeks and months . . . writers, painters, world travellers . . . we are an easy place "to be" . . . peaceful and quiet, yet always something happening on the farm . . . learn to ride a horse, get involved in the community, teach at the local school, plant trees . . . endless. Come as a guest and leave as a friend.

Disponible para huéspedes

In addition to our popular homestays, we run walking, driving and horse-riding safaris into the beautiful Loldaiga Hills Ranch. We tailor rides to the ability of the group but do require guests to be completely comfortable in all paces. We also welcome non riders and have both walking and 4x4 safari options. Game drives are taken in an open sided Landcruiser and walk are always accompanied by and armed ranger.

This magic, forgotten land awaits you. Ride, walk and drive amongst herds of zebra, impala, eland, gazelles and hartebeest. Come almost within touching distance of the many reticulated giraffe and slowly approach a herd of elephant or buffalo. Witness the rock art of the ancient peoples and, if you are really lucky, you may even stumble upon a pride of lion or track down a leopard, even find wild dogs out hunting! The horses are mostly a mix of thoroughbreds and polo ponies with a couple of local breeds thrown in for good measure, all responsive and good-natured as well as sure-footed and accustomed to game. Both set-date flycamps within the reserve and farm stays at the ranch are available so there really is something for everybody; if you want to do the safari but do not want to camp it is also possible to stay at the Lolldaiga Farmhouse within the reserve. With a maximum group size of 8 the atmosphere is personal and the hosting genuinely welcoming.

Elizabeth's place is a beautiful getaway from noisy Nairobi. It is very green, there are lovely doggies to play with. The staff are super cordial and professional, the rooms are beautiful, private and quiet. The views of greenery and pretty gardens are relaxing. Did I mention food is great? Definitely recommend the stay :)

My husband and I absolutely loved Olepangi Farm. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by hosts, Elizabeth and Clinton. What a delight they are!...they had prepared a delicious lunch for us on one of their many decks overlooking the surrounding hills, not withstanding Mt. Kenya. We stayed in the Round Hill which was very comfortable, beautifully decorated, and afforded us amazinging views from all angles. However, any of their accommodations would of impressed us. I felt as though I was in the botanical gardens due to the stunning gardens. To our delight, they attracted the most beautiful bird life. The staff was friendly, and quick to please. Elizabeth and Clinton have 4 very pleasing dogs. The stables and horses are maintained with loving care. I would return in a heartbeat. Elizabeth and Clinton made us feel like family...they are warm, fun, and full of many fascinating stories concerning their vision, and experiences in the area. The price is spot-on, and worth very penny. Cheers to them both for creating a slice of heaven!,

Elizabeth (and Clinton) were the perfect hosts -- warm and welcoming, with great dinners, fine wines, exhilarating conversation / debate and still leaving lots of time for ourselves. The staff were also really nice people. The cottage we stayed in, one of several and each uniquely designed and decorated, had wonderful views over the secluded valley and to the bush-covered hillside beyond, where kongoni were roaming on one morning. The flowerbeds around the cottages were every bit as attractive as the photo suggests. This is an excellent base for forest hikes and a side trip to Samburu, even if you aren't into horse safaris.

We had an absolutely wonderful time. The farm is in a beautiful spot and the cottages are really comfortable and well designed. Elizabeth and Clinton were such good hosts it was almost like staying with family - but without the arguments! They took us horse riding as well as out on a night game drive to Loldaiga Hills. If we ever had enough holiday we would certainly go back.

Clinton and I live in the most wonderful place on earth! We have spent most of our life working in corporate business, travelling the globe for clients. Now we run our farm with horses and delight in meeting guests from all over the world. We like to have fun, enjoy wildlife and feel very lucky to live the special life of ours. Our motto: "If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up space."
