This is not just a rental property but also an oasis of healing and serendipity. Prepare to be loved by the kindest and most supportive family you may ever meet. The views are breathtaking. The rooms are gorgeous. The garden is splendid. The community is connected. The company is unforgettable. The Sacred Valley may change your life. I booked for a week and wished that I had booked two. You will not regret staying with David and Mavi. It was fabulous!

I stayed a month in two different rooms with David and his wonderful family in this charming compound. Magical garden, friendly atmosphere, beautiful hosts who now feel like family to me. Perfect place to base in the Sacred Valley. Easy to get anywhere on the collectivo for a sole or two (the public bus), and still be able to stay in an authentic, non-touristy town. Plus, the rooms were comfortable with plenty of hot water for showers, and the shared kitchen was kept neat, even when there were a number of guests using it. A very special place. Highly recommended.

Beautiful garden with a extraordinary family. Always wiling to assist. Best shower with hot water in all of the surrounding area. Wifi down in the shared kitchen. Very secluded and private. Warm cozy beds. Easily the best place to stay.

I had a lovely 3 night stay at David's place. The room was clean, well furnished, with a new and functioning bathroom with warm water shower. David is a friendly and accommodating host who clearly puts a lot of TLC into his space. The kitchen is well equipped, I cooked some nice dinners there while enjoying the company of the other friendly travelers staying there. David has a great library for guests to peruse. Nothing like reading a book in that beautiful garden on a sunny Andean afternoon. I recommend this place and plan to return.

David and Mabel are fun, interesting, and generous hosts. The gardens and the adobe structures that make up their homestead are beautiful and inspiring. This is more than just a place to stay. This is a place to live life from- and live it well!

Truly a magical place. I had no idea what was leading me to Peru until I arrived, but it was this place. Such beautiful family that attracts wonderful guests. If you're even considering a trip to Peru - book your tickets and book this accommodation.

I am a retired designer/builder of custom adobe homes from New Mexico, USA. I have a Peruvian wife and two small children. My bookshelves are full of books that reflect my interests in ethnobotany, ancient cultures, shamanism, architecture, religion and philosophy to name a few.
The first seven years of my "retirement" were spent traveling in South America and beyond with Cusco as my base. I then settled in the Sacred Valley and opened Casa Willkamayo for like-minded travelers.
