Charming Victorian B&B with lovely harbor and island views for an authentic B&B experience. Located in the quaint lobster fishing village of Stonington, Deer Isle on Maine's scenic coast, a paradise for artists, photographers and nature lovers.
This room is called The Blue Room, located on the 2nd floor and is very peaceful and quiet. It has a queen size bed, a cozy sitting area with a table and two chairs and a lovely view of the harbor.
The B&B is two blocks from everything: seafood restaurants, galleries, unique shops, and the ferry to the island of Isle au Haut. Great for kayaking, hiking, and biking.
The B&B has four rooms and is full of beautiful art and antiques, and the island and harbor views are lovely.
The B&B is in a neighborhood of beautifully maintained older if not historic homes on the slopes down to the harbor. The B&B itself belonged to a sea captain and was called the Sawyer House.

I'm a well traveled artist with many stories to share.
My B&B is filled with art and antiques, and the views are spectacular.
My Love Affair with Deer Isle began some 30 years ago when I crossed the bridge to the island as John Steinbeck describes in "Travels with Charley" . This was the beginning of a new life and adventure. As an artist and photographer I never tire of the island sights - how the tides and colors of the ocean change throughout the day turning soft pink and violet with the setting sun - watching the seagulls swarm around the lobster boats as they arrive at the docks with their daily catch - visiting the lily pond that most would envy and spotting a blue heron or two - seeing the sunset over the Pumpkin Islands lighthouse -- visiting Sand Beach with its magnificent view - seeing the Windjammers from the days of old enter the bay.
Now My Dreams Have Come True!
