Reglas de la casa

The bungalow is strictly non-smoking. Apart from the anti social aspect, everything is wood so great care is needed with the fire and any candles used. Please leave it clean and tidy when you leave and remember that it is a working farming community. The locals get up early. Please don't play very loud music.
And as noted earlier, please replace any tea, provisions etc that you use as I have to stock up. Help yourself to a log fire but if you use any more please donate something into the hovis money box!

We had a lovely time at Jacqui's place escaping from it all to the peace and tranquility. Unfortunately the weather was not good when we were there so we got very cold at first, but once the fire was going and we got the heaters working it was very cosy. We enjoyed sitting on the gorgeous veranda in the brief moments of sunshine, and it was great to have somewhere dry, sheltered from wind and sunny to sit moments after a downpour of rain. The views were fantastic, especially from the bottom of the garden. We had a lovely short walk on the lanes and paths nearby (I'm glad I brought wellies!). And we discovered the very nice Royal Oak farm shop (where we got firewood), and a good dog-friendly pub, the Old Inn, for supper on our first night.

We felt like we'd found a secret house, nestled in a beautiful garden behind a meadow. The girls were instantly off having a Famous Five adventure, and I'm fairly sure if there were a secret tunnel to be found it would be here. Cosy Neuk is a small but prefect house with two double bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and living room. There's a beautiful verandah where we had breakfast to the sound of birdsong and supper to the hoots of owls. We're a family of four, so the girls had to share a double bed. There's the option of a roll out bed, but they decided between them to share. The garden is huge and has a hammock and a cool tent that hangs from a tree. The garden over looks the beautiful Devon countryside and I must have taken about a thousand photos of it, it was so picturesque. We used the house mainly as a base while exploring, visiting local National Trust sites, (check out A La Ronde) and Exmouth Beach and Lyme Regis that aren't too far away. The house was then a welcome home to return to, with a good hot shower and comfy beds. A perfect, peaceful getaway from the usual noise of our hometown and we'd love to come back some day. We didn't get to meet Jacqui, but communication was excellent and she was more than friendly and helpful via text message/airb&b. Thank you for our lovely holiday.

Wow, what a location. The house and garden is totally private, quiet and just what we needed as a break. There are loads to see and in the area, and the fish cafe Jacqui recommends is worth going to. We'll be back

If you are looking for peace, quiet and seclusion this is the most perfect little 'nook'. After the heat, noise and bustle of our London home, this was an oasis of calm. It was very special to be able to excersie and meditate in the garden with stunning views. There are walks from the front gate and interesting eating places but you dont need to go far from this idyll and its flower meadow.

Cosy Neuk is unique! An amazing location...surrounded by wildlife . Isolation and peace(wonderful!) yet close to the coast. We weren't expecting luxury...IF you are, look elsewhere. Cosy Neuk is like stepping back 50 years...but with a great shower and toilet! We immediately put on the heating as it was cold when we arrived late afternoon, but it soon warmed up. The mattress is memory foam which we had never slept on before but a very cosy bedroom. It felt as if Jacqui had just popped out for something...her artifacts are everywhere...!But it IS her home after all! The garden is wild and lovely, and we were lucky to go at bluebell time! We went to River Cottage Canteen (a favourite) and The Tuckers Arms (excellent) and visited the Saturday market in Bridport (well worth it!). What a special way to celebrate our 35th anniversary (we honeymooned in Membury and adore this area).

What a gorgeous place, deep in scenic beautiful countryside and the most amazing garden. The cottage is much more up to date than it looks on the pictures with a lovely recently renovated kitchen and bathroom and 2 double bedrooms with bags of character. The sitting room was cosy with out fire and wealth of board games. We'll definitely be back soon...

The perfect hideaway. Fantastic and peaceful setting and a great location for exploring Devon, Somerset and Dorset. Small and certainly very cosy - we were snug inside with good heating and a log fire while it snowed outside. Great verandah for sunny dining and reclining while gazing at the lovely garden and wide ranging views beyond. Well equipped kitchen, and the whole place was clean with plenty of hot water. Jacqui was friendly, helpful and laid back and all communication was great - thanks so much; we'd LOVE to come back and enjoy Cosy in the Summer

I have a garden full of birds mice hedgehogs badgers owls and many other creatures along with a lovely wild flower meadow full of moths and butterflies .
