Set along side the Kiewa River, Bay Creek Guest House is ideal for cyclists, skiers, hikers, fishermen & nature lovers. There are local wineries & exquisite swimming holes nearby. We are 20 km from Mt Beauty and 50 km from Falls Creek & Bright. Unfortunately we can't cater for children under the age of 10 for health and safety reasons.
Re-charge your batteries in this newly renovated comfortable cottage with brand new kitchen, bathroom and laundry. There is a queen size bedroom and two twin bedrooms, one of which can be turned into a double bed. All the bedrooms have ceiling fans as does the lounge room. However, in the summer you will find the Kiewa River provides a cool breeze once the sun goes down leaving little need for the fans. The kitchen is very well equipped with a full stove and fridge/freezer as well as a microwave. We provide complimentary tea, coffee and sugar to get you started. We provide linen but can negotiate a discounted price if you wish to bring your own bedding. We like to be flexible so whether you are on your own or in a group of six drop us a line so we can best cater for your needs.
Disponible para huéspedes
The guesthouse is completely separate and is self-contained. We have 120 acres of farmland with sheep and lambs. We are happy to show you around the farm or to share information about the area and things to do. You have access to the garden with Bay Creek flowing through the property while the Kiewa River and its deep and refreshing swimming holes are just across the road. You can even tube down the river which is great fun on a hot day. We have a few tubes here to borrow. There are books, DVDs and games to play and an undercover BBQ available for use at any time.
Atención a los huéspedes
Guests are invariably met on arrival and departure. For any other interaction the main house is just behind your accommodation, but you can just text or call us. It doesn't matter if you arrive late we'll be here to greet you. We love chatting to guests, but understand some just like to relax and soak up the peace and quiet.
Otros aspectos destacables
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate children under the age of 12 for health and safety reasons. We are big on recycling and collect our drinking water from the sky. We grow our own lamb, herbs and veggies while the chooks keep us well supplied in eggs. We try our hardest to minimise our carbon footprint wherever we can. We both work full time hence the reason for the late check in. We are happy for you to check in earlier on weekends and school holidays and at other times of the year by negotiation.
A simple philosophy of recycle, re-use and respect is appreciated while you stay with us. We are a 'No Smoking Indoors' property and because we run a commercial sheep property and take delight in the abundant birdlife we unfortunately cannot accommodate pets.
We have lived in the Kiewa Valley for 15 years. We love living here and are passionate about the area. We love travelling, the great outdoors and working on our farm and in the garden.
