The village has a rich cultural heritage and hosts many art, music and craft festivals. It offers easy access to skiing, hiking, fishing, biking and, of course, great eating and drinking!
Located midway between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, Saint Lizier is an excellent centre from which to explore the Midi Pyrenees. Toulouse, Carcassonne, Pau and Spain are all within easy reach and offer visitors, whether adults or families with children, an enormous variety of things to do.
Guests are completely independent and although I live in the upstairs apartment and they can contact me if they need help or information, I usually only see the guests when they arrive and when they leave.

Its calm, uncrowded, has a great climate, and so many interesting things to do and see, colourful markets, festivals, picturesque villages and sporty things for all the family

I have lived in Kenya and Zimbabwe for many years but now am happily settled here in the Ariege with my Border terrier cross. I enjoy walking, painting, entertaining friends, cooking, and I have to admit, that I even enjoy weekly French lessons! I'm a big reader and also enjoy music, and we have a lot of great music here in St. Lizier.
