While we did not receive the Red Room we booked, the room we actually got was fine. Complimentary breakfast was great. The staff here are incredibly nice--after leaving one of our bags at a hotel in the desert 10 hours away they coordinated with another group coming up from the area to get it to us. Thank you, Riad Louna staff!

This Riad is great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff was fantastic, and really tried to keep us happy the whole time. Unfortunately, the bedroom was not insulated well, making the room unbearably cold the entire time. At one point, our heater broke, and Muhammad tried to make amends by immediately bringing in a space heater. They work hard!

Air BnB needs to seriously review the inclusion of this property on its site listings. The photos do not truly represent the facility and most importantly -- the operators of this riad appear to use it to "bait and switch". I communicated several times in the days before and the day of my arrival and was assured by the Riad that there was not problem with my 8:30pm arrival in Fes etc etc. When I arrived I was told that they had sold my room the "Red Room" and offered me a substandard alternative room. When I refused it, they then insisted I go to their sister-Riad which meant a 15 min walk in the dark through the medina, dragging my bags. That riad was also not suitable and so I was told to return through the medina to the original riad, the Riad Louna. Simo was then called (on my insistence) and after a wait of about 30-40 minutes, Simo arrived. In fairness Simo did try to resolve the situation but at this stage I was distraught, very disappointed and exhausted. At no stage did the Riad Louna tell me BEFORE my arrival that there was a problem with my booking (for which they'd already charged my card). I had no chance to change my accommodation and was trapped into accepting their solutions to my situation.

Travel and interacting with different cultures is my life.

As a host, I want to help people enjoy the incredible beauty of Morocco and her lovely people, and at the same time give people a little bit of a break when they are feeling overwhelmed by it all.

Meanwhile, I can also offer loads of information on Moroccan tours, history, and cultural information, including cooking classes and language training in Arabic, English, Darija/Moroccan, or Berber for those who are interested.
Morocco has it all - the history, the markets ('souks') in the walled city ('medina'), the medieval city of Fez, the Atlas mountains (with skiing in winter) and beaches on both the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts, not to mention the Sahara desert, where you can ride a camel and sleep in a tent - with air-conditioning (in the tent, unfortunately not on the camel).

Let me make your dream of an exotic vacation in Morocco come true. Just drop me a message and tell me what you need.
