Hello Jon, so sorry for your vicissitudes even if I do not agree with most of your remarks.
1) The footpath from the villa to the village is 500 mt long, mostly flat and the last 200 mt of carriageway: how can you define the villa's area as "very remote"? On the other hand, I agree with you: at night it is dark and daylight is light...;-)
2) You booked for 1 couple but after your check-in, in a not very fairy way, you wrote me that, instead, for some days you were 2 couples. I replied "No problem, you are all welcome" and you stayed in 2 large double-bed rooms. Where is the problem? How should I act next time to give you a warmer welcome?
3) If you were cold, why did not you ask for thicker blankets? You could even have duvets. We have! Just ask! And why define the house unsuitable for October when, as you yourself write, each room (living room and bathrooms included) is equipped with heat pumps?
4) You asked for pool towels and I gave you shower towels. I've only kindly beg you not to use those at the beach. Where is the problem? Usually when I go for a beach holiday I take my beach/pool towels, but probably in the places where you go, and where the sun does never sunset ;-), things are different.
That's all my dear friend
Wishing you a warm, luminous, sunset-less winter
