Don't forget to go outside on a clear night. The cul-de-sac and side yard are great for star gazing in every season. In the winter, Orion is impossible to miss as is the smear of stars called the Milky Way. This is a great time for hiking because you can see for miles and get spectacular long range views from most every hike out the front door. Spring is filled with the sounds of wildlife with singing spring peepers, crickets , cicadas and the occasional owl and whip-poor-will. In late Spring, the silver bells, mountain laurel, dog woods, flaming azaleas and rhododendron start to bloom. All of these blooms can be found on the 25 acres.
Summer nights are delightful and long. After a day at the pond, you will find yourself on the deck until the late hours as the warmth of the day lingers with a chorus of bull frogs.
Fall needs no introduction and is amazing for colorful hikes throughout the hardwood forests in surrounding areas.
