Our peaceful home has a gorgeous, panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and the shimmering Snow Goose Pond. Centrally located with easy access to the Glenn and Parks Highways. Two beautiful birch-themed rooms sleep up to four people. An excellent home cooked, tailor made breakfast is our highly regarded specialty.

El alojamiento
Our children are grown, so we have turned two of their bedrooms into a lovely, restful guest suite. One room has a queen size bed and the other room has a twin sized bed, and an optional fold out bed. Four adults can sleep comfortably in these accomodations.
A full private bathroom is across the hall.

Our beautiful lot is surrounded by birch and spruce trees, sprinkled with vibrant flowers. Our living quarters showcases a gorgeous, panoramic view of the Chugach and Talkeetna mountains. An eagle nest and its beautiful inhabitants provide continual drama as they spar with the seagulls inhabiting Snow Goose Pond. Occasionally we have moose wander into our yard.

If you need accommodations for more than four people, we also have our "Birch Grove Sanctuary" which has a king size bed and a full kitchen.

Acceso para huéspedes
Breakfast is available in the family dining room upstairs. Enjoy the gorgeous Alaskan panoramic view while eating your delicious homemade hot breakfast tailored to your preferences and dietary needs.

Our house is located near the end of a drive where it is peaceful and quiet. Overlooking the picturesque Snow Goose Pond, and situated on a wooded hill, inspiring views of the Chugach and Talkeetna mountains can be seen in three directions from our huge windows. The view is spectacular Alaska scenery at its best.

We are long time Alaskans. Philip worked with the Forest Service for many years and later became a pastor. He is an avid hiker, a back-packing enthusiast, an experienced cross-country skier and loves white-water kayaking. Sondra’s family came to Alaska before it was a state of the U.S. She considers it a privilege to have grown up in the old, “real” Alaska in a small bush town on the Yukon River. She values the Alaskan native culture and feels that her growing up years, which included a family dog team, were very enriching. Both of us have traveled the world extensively and value other cultures. We love meeting new people, and welcome others to the peace of our home. Our golden retriever dog is part of the enthusiastic welcome you will receive here. We both love the untamed beauty of Alaska and the God who created it. Because of Philip’s experience in the grand Matanuska Valley area and beyond, he will be able to direct you to fabulous outdoor experiences. We thoroughly enjoy meeting our airbnb guests and interacting with them.
