The residence is found in the heart of the historical Rione di Testaccio in a typical building with galleried walkways. Situated at the third floor on two levels, it is silent and bright. My guests say that: The apartment is in a great neighborhood. For us that means one with few if any tourists, but close enough to the sites. We enjoyed having coffee and sweets and lunch at a local cafe that was excellent and very cheap. We dined at a few restaurants within a short walk from the apartment and all were outstanding.

From Testaccio you can reach the historical center of Rome in a few minutes on foot and see all of the monuments: The Colosseum, the Circus Maximus, the Roman Forum, Palatino, Terme di Caracalla, Piramide Cestia, Bocca della Verità. We are also very close to Aventino Hill, Trastevere and the Sunday market, Porta Portese. In the spring you can visit the Roseto town center which hosts a prestigious international event each year.
Besides the buses it is possible to use the subway (the Piramide station is just five minutes away on foot), the "Italo" train station and the Roma-Ostiense station from which the "Leonardo da Vinci" (Fiumicino) international airport can be reached.
Not all know it but Rome also means sun and sea (Lido di Ostia) which can be reached by the urban train station that departs next to the Piramide metro station.
If you don't have time or want to prepare meals in Testaccio you won't have any problem, there are many restaurants and pizzerias in the neighborhood, from the typical, more economic to high-end restaurants. Right in the same building as the apartment you can find typical dishes of Roman cuisine at the "Da Felice" restaurant, which is outside tourist circles, but frequented by the locals.
For the one who loves the nightlife there are night clubs and bars. More so than Trastevere, Testaccio is the perfect for late night fun with some of the most famous night spots in Rome.
We are available anytime to give you information and suggestions for a pleasant vacation.

Accogliere
