I was raised in New Zealand and England before meeting my husband, Bob, while backpacking around the world in the 1970s. We moved to Bathurst in 1980 where we raised three children (Natasha, Sarah, and Cam) in our two acre property in Forest Grove.
The property was just a field of grass when we first arrived; 34 years later and it's now full of gum and pine trees over 20 metres high and buzzing with local birds and wildlife.
Bob and I are now semi-retired and spend much of our time with our children who now live in Melbourne, London and Tonga. We have a small vineyard and Bob has made wine for the past 20 years, winning silver and bronze medals at national cool-climate wine shows.
In summer we like to eat our meals outside surrounded by the garden and the sounds of birds. In winter we light a cosy fire and enjoy a glass of red.
